Will have Bookmobile <br />Committee meeting tonight. <br /> <br />Stelk reported she attended the Building & Grounds Committee meeting. <br /> <br />Quandt attended the Senior Citizens Industries meeting, also the Superintendent <br />of Schools meeting with Leslie and Landis. <br /> <br />Ellen Merrill, County Board Assistant report: (1) Sheriff 'reqmestcto hire <br />another secretary to replace one Correction Director hired. (will review at <br />budget time) also requested if will be able to purchase two more Sheriff's <br />cars from this year's budget. (2) ADA requirements, need to look at the <br />Administration Building doors with push button, estimates cost $2000.00 <br />(3) May 26, 1993 at 1:00 p.m., Indigent Task Force meeting in County Board <br />Room for comments (4) Reminders: Bookmobile Committee meeting tonight <br />at 8:00 p.m.; Building & Grounds Committee meeting tomorrow at 8:15 a.m. <br />Family Violence meeting at noon Thursday; Midland Area on Aging at 1:30 p.m <br />Thursday in Hastings; Head Start meeting 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Connell School. <br />(5) McDermott & Miller are finishing up the audit field work today, will make <br />a report to Board Members in couple of weeks. (6) Need to set up a Regional <br />Planning Department budget~ievleW in May. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br />Landis spoke in regard to new release of State Pen being built atOrdrtance <br />Plant. At Industrial Foundation Meeting she attended they were concernedu- <br />about Husker Harvest__pay site. Landis felt if the Transportation Center <br />does not come to,the Ordnance-iPlant Location, County should let the Army know <br />County is interested in the site, and have committee start looking into the <br />possibilities. <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Stelk to authorize Chairman to appoint <br />Committee to work on our interest in Cornhusker Ordnance Plant land. Aber- <br />nethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted <br />no.
