<br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 a.m. from adjourned session
<br />and by published call with Chairman Gary Quandt presiding.
<br />

<br />Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Frauen, Richard Hartman,
<br />Margaret Landis, Robert Leslie, Gary Quandt and Tammie Stelk. None were absent.
<br />
<br />Invocation was given by Abernethy.
<br />
<br />Pledge of Allegiance was given.
<br />
<br />Minutes of April 20th meeting were accepted as received, on motion by Frauen,
<br />seconded by Hartman. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and
<br />Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />John Wagoner, Attorney spoke in regard to article he read in newspaper in
<br />regard to penal complex to be built, the need to know costs involved and
<br />research before such a decision is made.
<br />
<br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Hartman to recess for Executive Session to
<br />discuss EPC litigations. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie,
<br />Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz and Deputy Attorney Mark Young were
<br />present.
<br />
<br />Executive Session at 9:15 a.m. and returned to regular session at 9:39 a.m.
<br />on motion by Frauen, seconded by Hartman. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis,
<br />Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Hartman to authorize Deputy County Attorney Young
<br />to pursue having contract with Hastings Regional Center for EPC patients.
<br />Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none
<br />voted no. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />Attorney Mark Young spoke in regard to EPC update and mental health hearing
<br />client.
<br />Motion by Leslie, seconded by Frauen to have Deputy Attorney file suit
<br />against Keya paha County for mental health billing they refused to pay.
<br />Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none
<br />voted no. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />Attorney Young reported the EPC contract with Region III expires June 30th and
<br />the need to lOok at contract before renewal date.
<br />
<br />Deputy Attorney Janulewicz presented claim for 5 causes of action on tax fore-
<br />closure sale for $5552.39 to be paid to Hall County Sheriff. Need to approve
<br />claim so we can obtain deeds to the properties.
<br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Leslie to approve paYment of claims to
<br />Hall County Sheriff for $5552.39 for sale of properties for tax foreclosure
<br />purposes. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes,
<br />Frauen voted no. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />Attorney Janulewicz gave opinion in regard to the 3.85 acre tract of land in
<br />SE 1/4 21-12-12 owned by Hall County for road purposes which received letter
<br />last week from Attorney W.G. Blackburn. Janulewicz reported county road
<br />department is still using the property.
<br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Frauen to have " Deputy Attorney send letter
<br />to Attorney Blackburn in regard to the property. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman,
<br />Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />Attorney Janulewicz presented resolution in regard to
<br />equipment for Communications Civil Defense Department
<br />Inheritance Fund.
<br />Motion by Hartman,
<br />approve payment of claim

<br />$225,663.20 for new
<br />to be paid from County
<br />
<br />seconded by Frauen to adopt Resolution #1490 and
<br />as submitted. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis,
<br />voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.
