<br />Abernethy reported on Head Start meeting, she attended the So Locust/I~80
<br />interchange.presentation at Senior High School; attended Courtty'BbardNACO
<br />workshop in Kearney last week., and gave report;' ,attended Building &:.Grounds
<br />committee meeting and also the interviews conducted by Criminal Justice
<br />Committee.
<br />
<br />Leslie reported on Build~ng & Grounds Committee meeting and presented the
<br />following written recommendation:

<br />The Buildings and Grounds Committee recommends the Hall
<br />County Board of Supervisors approve and authorize the Chair
<br />,to ,sign a contract with R.D. Aguilar to provide janitorial
<br />services from March 1, 1993, through February 28, 1994, for
<br />the low bid of $48,960.

<br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Hartman to accept the Building & Grounds
<br />Committee recommendation and accept bid for Janitorial Services from
<br />R.D. Aguilar for $48,960. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie,
<br />Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.

<br />Landis reported on Criminal Justice Committee interviews for Corrections
<br />Director. District Judge Livingston, Public Defender Gerard' Piccolo and
<br />Deputy Attorney Jerry Janulewicz also were included in committee for
<br />interviews. Hope to have in place by April 1, 1993.

<br />Stelk reported she attend County Board NACO workshop Thursday and Friday,
<br />Senior High students presentation on So Locust interchange, Building &
<br />Grounds Committee meeting and Criminal Justice Committee interviews.
<br />
<br />Quandt reported he attended Senior High Student presentation, Grand Island
<br />Industrial Foundation Meeting, Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting, Midland
<br />'Area Agency meeting.
<br />
<br />Ellen Merrill, County Board Assistant reported on (1) Superintendent of
<br />Schools can be administered by Class VI school; (2) Safety Committee
<br />meeting Thursday, February 25th at 9:00 A.M.; (3) Betty Curtis called a
<br />tree chipper owned by county could be put to good use and(4) John Fosket
<br />request for YMCA Corporate Program for employees and use of payroll deduc-
<br />tion for dues. (Board members responded to not use payroll deduction for
<br />this purpose) Ellen Merrill requested vacation leave of August 2 thru
<br />August 9th and also additional leave in October and November.
<br />
<br />Chairman Quandt requested a report on Keno from the committee members.
<br />Leslie and Hartman reported on update and Fonner Keno has made a proposal
<br />and will be meeting with Attorney Janulewicz on Thursday at 10:00 a.m.
<br />
<br />Frauen requested to have Ellen send letter to Chuck Kaufman for cleaning
<br />the sidewalks and parking lots at county buildings.
<br />Motion by Leslie, seconded by Hartman to recommend the letter be written
<br />and signed next week to sent to Kaufman. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis,
<br />Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />Chairman Quandt requested the Conditional Use Permit committee also look at
<br />lots listed on foreclosure sale. Also appointed committee of Leslie, Landis,
<br />Stelk and Quandt to look at the use of Hall County owned vehicles.
