<br />It <br /> <br />9'1/;::- 3~ / <br /> <br />BOARD REPORTS 5' <br /> <br />Abernethy - meeting of Weed Control Board and Family Violence <br />Stelk - Senior Citizens meeting tomorrow at noon <br />Landis - Reuse Committee meeting tomorrow <br />Hartman - Mid Plains meeting <br /> <br />Ellen Merrill, Board Assistant, asked approval for Chairman to sign <br />letters to McDermott-Miller, Ellen Totzke, Jerry Pigsley and Vince <br />Valentino. Frauen made motion, seconded by Stelk to authorize Hartman <br />to sign the letters. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie and <br />Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Quandt was out of room. <br /> <br />Merrill asked for approval for the swearing in cermonies of new elected <br />officials to be held in the Board room on the morning of January 5, 1995 <br />if unable to have it in the courthouse. The Board members agreed ok. <br />She asked of a reserved parking stall for the visiting judge who comes <br />to Hall County once a week. The matter was discussed with the plan to <br />talk to the County Judges when they come later in the morning. <br /> <br />Merrill also asked if the Employees Goodie Day could be in the Board room <br />on December 21, 1994. Board members agreed. <br /> <br />Merrill asked for a half day vacation on Friday and a day on Monday, the <br />16th & 19th, so given. <br /> <br />Various Board members talked on the South Locust Interchange project. <br />50 - 60 people appeared in regards to this matter being on the agenda. <br />14 people in the audience spoke concerning this issue. <br />Motion made by Quandt, seconded by Frauen to have County Attorney look <br />at all opinions of putting the South Locust Interchange on the ballot and <br />it be put on the agenda for next week.and at that time decide what if any <br />opinion we want to use to put it on the ballot. Discussion followed. <br />Quandt re-phased his motion to read - Put on ballot for Hall County <br />voters to vote whether or not a South Locust Interchange will be built. <br />and that's my motion. Ste1k ask that the Environmental study be added to <br />that motion. Quandt added to the motion - when the Environmental Study <br />is done. Frauen seconded the motion. <br />(Motion now reads - Put on ballot for Hall County voters to vote whether <br />or not a South Locust Interchange will be built, when the Environmental <br />Study is done) Frauen, Hartman, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, Abernethy, <br />Landis and Leslie voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Frauen left meeting at 11:45 A.M. <br /> <br /> <br />Judge Martin and Bush and Alice Mahood, Clerk Magistrate discussed with <br />the Board needs of their office to move into the area now occupied by <br />Family Violence. Discussion followed concerning the move of Family <br />Violence into the Administration Building and into the Supt of Schools <br />office space to be vacated in January. Abernethy made motion to have <br />the staff of the County Court system be allow to take over the space that <br />has been occupied by the Family Violence Coalition and that that office <br />be moved to the School Supt's office in this building (County Administration) <br />when it's vacated. Discussion followed, and Abernethy added - at least <br />until the end of the fiscal year. Ste1k seconded this motion. Abernethy, <br />Fraue~, Hartman, Leslie and Ste1k voted yes. Landis and Quandt voted no. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Discussion on a reserved parking place for the visiting judge. Joel <br />Dalton suggested that one of the five parking spaces in back that belongs <br />to the Clerk of the Courts be moved next to the Clerk of the District <br />Court in the front, and leave the fifth parking place in the back blank. <br />When the judge (any judge) is here can use it or it can be used as a <br />social Service handicap parking. It was agreed to do that. <br />Jerry Janulewicz said they would need a new resolution to do that. <br />Abernethy made motion to have Janulewicz draw up a resolution concerning <br />the parking places for the judges, Leslie seconded that motion. Abernethy, <br />Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. <br />
