<br />~~~- ~~~HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING - NOVEMBER 22, 1994 <br /> <br />l- <br /> <br />Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 A.M. from adjourned <br />session and by published call with Chairman Richard Hartman presiding. <br /> <br />'! <br /> <br />Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Frauen, Richard <br />Hartman, Margaret Landis, Robert Leslie, Gary Quandt and Tammy Ste1k. <br /> <br />~. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Capt. Kevin VanZee with the Salvation Army in <br />Grand Island. <br /> <br />Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />Minutes of November 15th were approved by motion of Quandt, seconded <br />by Stelk. Correction was made to read - Abernethy voted no to deny the <br />request to use the Children's Village as a homeless shelter. Abernethy, <br />Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk then voted to approve <br />the minutes as corrected, none voted no. <br /> <br />Quandt made motion to add to the agenda a letter to be written to <br />Ag Processing Inc. Motion was seconded by Landis. Abernethy, Frauen, <br />Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. <br /> <br />Deputy County Attorney, Jerry Janulewicz told the Board of the selling <br />prices of the 30 lots in the Fonner View Second Subdivision. Discussed <br />resolution authorizing bids on behalf of the county. Motion of Landis, <br />seconded by Stelk of $350 for lot 7 in block 8 of the John Voitle's <br />Addition. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted <br />yes, Frauen voted no. Motion carried. <br />Motion made by Quandt, seconded by Stelk to not bid on the lots in the <br />Rollin's Addition. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt <br />and Ste.lk voted yes, none voted no. <br />Motion made by Stelk, seconded by Landis to bid $1441.55, the amount to <br />recoup the court costs and attorney fees for a tract of land on East Hwy <br />30 between Bos~elman's and road into UPS. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, <br />Leslie and Stelk voted yes, Frauen and Quandt voted no. Motion carried. <br />These motions and bid amounts became resolution #1603. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION # ~t7ol <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING BIDDING ON BEHALF OF <br />THE COUNTY OF HALL, NEBRASKA <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the parcels as set forth herein will be sold <br />at judicial sales conducted by the Hall county Sheriff on <br />November 22, 23, and 28, 1994, in satisfaction of the <br />County's lien upon said parcels for general real estate <br />taxes, interest, fees, and court costs; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Neb.Rev.Stat. Sec. 23-135 authorizes county <br />boards to approve the payment for a particular piece of real <br />property to be sold at auction by adopting a resolutIon <br />stating the maximum amount which the county may bid for the <br />particular piece of property; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS,. the County Board of Hall County has been <br />requested by its attorneys to adopt such a resolution <br />concerning the following described properties. <br /> <br />NOW BE IT RESOLVED. that counsel for the County of Hall, <br />Nebraska be hereby appo~nted and authorized to bid on behalf <br />of the, County of Hall for the purchase of the following <br />parcels of real property in the respective amounts with such <br />bids not to exceed the amounts set forth herein, to wit: <br /> <br />1. Lot Seven (7) in Block Eight (8), in John Voitle's <br />Addition to the City of Grand Island, Nebraska <br /> <br />Bid: 1.3.s-.{) ~ <br /> <br />2. The West Fifty-Two Feet Eleven Inches (W52'11") of <br />Lot One (1), and the East Thirty-Three Feet (E33') of <br />Lot Two (2), Block Eighteen (18), Rollin'S Addition to <br />the City of Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska <br />
