<br />-- <br /> <br />9~;:-/3~ <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING, MAY 10, 1994 <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 a.m. from adjourned session <br />~ and by published call with Chairman Richard Hartman presiding. <br /> <br />Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Frauen, Richard Hartman, <br />Margaret Landis, Robert Leslie, Gary Quandt and Tammie Stelk. None were absent. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Abernethy. <br /> <br />Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />Minutes of May 3rd meeting were accepted as received, on motion by Quandt, <br />seconded by Stelk. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quaridt, <br />and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Deputy_County Attorney Jerom Janulewicz was present. He discussed the <br />request for Keno hours modification. Present during the discussion'were <br />Todd Otto, from Fonner Keno, representatives from Hub Lounge and Westside <br />Lanes. <br />Requested change of hours ,lv1QIld~y thru__~Cl~,:!;-day opening at 11: 00 a.m. <br />;i;nsi:ead of 10: 00 a.m. Summer ,hours! for iWestsldef Lanes has been changed from <br />'I1.()gn) til midnight and Hub Lounge wished to operate those hours also. Fonner <br />Keno hours Sunday noon til 10:00 p.m. Hub Lounge noon til 10:00 p.m. and <br />Westside noon til midnight. <br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Quandt to accept hours as requested and <br />recommended and authorize Janulewicz to approve hours. Abernethy, Frauen, <br />Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Hartman questioned the percentage paid to satellites. Todd Otto reported <br />proposal was being taken to Fonner Keno Board of Directors at their next <br />meeting, will request 5 percent. <br /> <br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Frauen to recess for Executive Session to <br />discuss CWA negotiations. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, <br />Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Webb madep...!E:~ent~!ion on the, proposal for courthouse elevator <br />and doors. He recommends replacing the cable elevator with hydraulic elevator <br />at courthouse, recommendations for ADA toilet at courthouse, ADA accessible <br />entry doors for courthouse, Safety Center and Administration building. <br />Preliminary budgets costs: Hydraulic elevator $40,000. to $50,000. <br />remodel.exisiting elevator $6500. to $8500. <br /> <br />Courthouse, ADA toilet $1500. to $2000. <br /> <br />ADA accessible entry doors <br />Courthouse $1975~ installed plus electrical. <br />Safety Center $1500. <br />Administration Building $875. <br />Webb & Company will work on hourly basis at $45.00 or on percentage 9% of <br />construction bid.price. <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Leslie to refer to Building & Grounds <br />Committee for recommendations. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, <br />Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />10:00 A.M. Public Hearing for request for Conditional Use Permit from <br />Elvin R & Carline A Denman to reopen the former Fireside Camp Grounds <br />located SWl/4 SWl/4 17-10-9, containing 8.5 acres. <br />Affidavit of publication was read as published in Grand Island Independent <br />on Saturday April 30, 1994. <br />Elvin & Carline Denman and Building Inspector Max Boersen were present <br />for the hearing. <br />No one spoke in support or against the conditional use permit. <br /> <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Quandt to approve the Conditional Use Permit <br />as requestd. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk <br />voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Quandt to close the public hearing, Abernethy <br />Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Public Hearing was closed at 10:08 a.m. <br />
