<br />Attorney Janulewicz and Public Works Director Hostler returned to meeting
<br />in regard to County Industrial tract area and the removal of roads from
<br />the area in question. Discussion followed.
<br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Leslie, County Board had determined there
<br />is a problem in industrial tract area regardtng"fheroads and the location
<br />of preisendorf property tract #7. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie,
<br />Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no, with Frauen absent. Motion
<br />carried.

<br />Public Works Director Hostler reported on the letter from Geotechnical
<br />Services and stated he had .no problem with their request but needed County
<br />Board approval to issue a permit.
<br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Abernethy to authorize Dan to issue a
<br />permit to Geotechnical Services for request to excavate soil in county
<br />road right of way. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk
<br />voted yes, none voted no,with Frauen absent. Motion carried.

<br />Attorney Janulewicz issued verbal opinion on the 90 day notice on public
<br />hearing for industrial tract. He recommends more than 90 day notice be
<br />sent.
<br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Ste~k to set Public Hearing on the Indust-
<br />rial tract a'l1ea for July 5, 1994 at 10:00 a.m. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis,
<br />Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no, with Frauen absent.

<br />Sonna Holmes, Social Services Director, Susan Stuckert, Jean Seely and.
<br />Bev Enderle, representating staff of Social Services Department in regard
<br />to conditions in the building. Holmes presented copies of letter and copy
<br />of pictures to each board member in regard to the conditions of the building.
<br />Holmes stated the County maintenance people are great to work with and have
<br />no complaints, also the new cleaning service is better than it was before,
<br />however the actual conditions in building need to be considered and looked
<br />at.
<br />Chairman Hartman referred matter to Building & Grounds Committee to review
<br />and return with recommendations to the full County Board.
<br />
<br />Mary Kay Shay, Hall County Election Commissioner spoke in regard to the
<br />ballot counter for elections. She had talked to committee and needed to
<br />present to full board for decision. New counting machine $54,000.00 with
<br />$11,750.00 trade in or purchase smaller machine to add and convert the
<br />current machine $24,000.00. Following discussion, delay decision until
<br />next week and place on agenda for ~~t--~~~k's meeting.

<br />Attorney Janulewicz gave review of the negotiations 2 years ago and those
<br />who served on committee. Board Members needed to decide how wanted to handle
<br />this year. Chairman Hartman appointed Janulewicz, Frauen, Landis and
