Local Weed Control Authority Superintendent had submitted a <br />bid for the job. <br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Landis to send letters to City Council <br />members and Mayor of Grand Island, in regard to sending business out of town <br />when could be done locally, and need for cooperation between local governments. <br />Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Ste1k voted yes, none <br />voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Hartman - Mid Nebraska Retardation meeting in Kearney was cancelled last week, <br />is to be rescheduled. <br /> <br />Dan Hostler, Public Works Director reported on meeting he attended in Reno <br />Nevada last week. He related to the changing of speed limit signs on all <br />roads from miles to kilometers. <br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Ste1k to send letter to Senators Exon, <br />Kerry and Barrett, stressing the undue hardship this would place on counties. <br />Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Ste1k voted yes, none <br />voted no.
