Regional Planning Commission meeting for March 2, 1994 at 7:30 p.m. at <br />City Council Chambers. Legal Notice of State Board of Equalization and Assessment meeting to be <br />held Thursday, March 3, 1994 at 2:30 p.m. in.State Capitol Builing in <br />Lincoln. <br /> <br />10. Copies of Merrick County Board of Supervisors Resolution #94-9 and #94-10 <br />in regard to former Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant <br /> <br />11. Copy of Memorandum from County Superintendent of Schools in regard to <br />the discontinuing the office of County Superintendent. <br /> <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Quandt, to place on file the Communications <br />'received today. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk <br />voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br /> <br />Abernethy reported on Leadership Tomorrow meeting in Lincoln, Head Start <br />meeting, Mid Plains Center meeting, Community Planning Meeting, Industrial <br />Foundation 1uncheon and the Juvenile Meeting which she had attended. <br />She reported will set up meeting at later date for Bookmobile Committee. <br /> <br />Stelk reported on Election Committee meeting held February 18th,. Hazardous <br />Household Waste meeting and need for plan by October 1, 1994, and the Midland <br />Area Agency on Aging meeting. <br /> <br />Landis reported on Reuse Committee meetings, and the Central District County <br />Officials meeting to beheld in Grand Island on March 17th. Also the Central <br />District meeting to be held in Grand Island on 3rd Thursday in September with <br />Hall County as host. <br /> <br />Leslie reported on meeting with Veterans Service Officer on the World Ward II <br />Connnemorative kogram andrequested he be on board meeting agenda to explain to <br />all board members. Also related to the Security meeting held and 14 items <br />were discussed in executive session. <br /> <br />Hartman reported on Mid Plains Center meeting, and have hired Rita Parle to <br />be acting Director until new Director is hired. <br /> <br />Following Park Committee recommendation was presented. It had been approved <br />at recent meeting but needed to have some items clarified so have presented <br />new recommendations. <br /> <br />The Hall County Park Committee recommends the Board of <br />Supervisors approve the expenditure of $16,860 for tree <br />replacement with $13,488 (80%) of that amount to be paid by' <br />a grant from the State of Nebraska Department of Roads; the <br />expenditure of $10,434 from the Federal Emergency Management <br />Agency (F.E.M.A.) for grass seed and labor costs; and the <br />expenditure of $5,000 from the Edgar Reynolds Foundation for <br />playground equipment in an area which was damaged by <br />flooding in 1993. The Committee further recommends that <br />$27,294 for the previously described expenditures be paid <br />from the Miscellaneous General budget line item 2-9900 since <br />the $23,922 in grant money has or. will be deposited in to <br />the General Fund to cover these expenses, and $5,000 for the <br />playground equipment be paid from the Bequest Fund. <br /> <br /> <br />Frauen <br /> <br />Landis <br /> <br />
