Quandt made <br />a motion and Hartman seconded to add the, discussion of the Hall <br />County valuation to the agenda. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, <br />Quandt andStelkvoted yes and Rosenkotter voted no. <br /> <br />Jan Pelland, County Assesso~ stated that the formula the state uses <br />to determine state aid uses a 100% valuation for all counties. This <br />report is sent in to the state by April 1. Janulewicz provided <br />information to the board concerning the proceedure the State Board of <br />Equali~onc_~()ll_ows. When the State Board of Equaliztion met they <br />,set the~rameter~ at 89% to 100%. If a county is not in the range <br />set by the State Board of Equalization then the county would be <br />called for a hearing to show cause why they are not in the range <br />set by the board. Hall County is in the acceptable range but they <br />could file a petition requesting the valuation be lowered. Lane <br />Plugge stated that LB1290 uses the sales assessment ratio so all <br />counties are at 100% valuation. The valuation that Hall County <br />has should not affect the state aid. Discussion was held. Quandt <br />made a motion and Landis seconded to have Jerry Janulewicz draw up <br />a petition to submit to the State Board of Equalization requesting <br />Hall County's valuation be lowered. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, <br />Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes. Rosenkotter voted no. <br /> <br />Stel~_reported_that_a letter was sent to the judges and copies <br />of thequest'ionnairesirequesting that they review this information <br />and~err:r:nput~ Discussion was held. Stelk made a motion <br />and Rosenkotter seconded to have Hall County set up a policy board <br />for the second tier indigent defense. Abernethy, Leslie, Rosenkotter <br />and Stelk voted yes and Hartman, Landis and Quandt voted no. <br /> <br />Doris Mason, Hall County Treasure~ submitted the resolution for the <br />2-year tax sale certificates.
