The <br />registraiton cost is $425.00 per person. She is requesting the <br />boards direction on this. Quandt made motion to send Jerry <br />Janulewicz and Margaret Landis. No second,motion failed. Stelk <br />made motion and Judy seconded to send Jerry Janulewicz and one <br />other voting member of the Reuse Committee to Indiana. Abernethy, <br />Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelkall voted <br />yes and none voted no. Landis stated that Tom Shay will be here <br />April 19 to help develop the scope of work. <br /> <br />Rick Stepanek presented four bids to the board for air conditioning <br />on the County Attorneys Building. Hartman made motion and Quandt <br />seconded to accept the low bid fromFrYmire Heating and Air <br />Conditioning. of $5,907.50. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, <br />Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. <br />Painting of the rotunda in the courthouse was discussed. Roger <br />Christensen and Bill Werner have the specs on the paint. Landis <br />made motion and Stelk seconded to have Ellen Merrill prepare <br />specs for the painting. Abernety, Hartman, Landis. Leslie, <br />Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes and Quandt voted no. <br /> <br />Stelk made motion and Hartman seconded to go into Board of <br />Equalization. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, <br />Rosenkotterand Stelkall voted yes and none voted no. An <br />exemption Cap_pllcatIon!srThe Center for Independent Living, <br />1804 South Eddy Street, Grand Island, on a~1995 Buick Regal was <br />received. Quandt made motion and Stelk seconded to grant the <br />exemption. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis. Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter <br />andStelkall voted yes and none voted no. <br /> <br />Marjorie Haubold distributed the list of agricultural protests. <br />263 have been received. Quandt made motion and Hartman seconded to <br />receive the additional numbered protest list. The times:-for the formal hearings with the referees <br />has been set as 8:00A.M. to 12:00 P.M. and 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. <br />Rosenkotter made motion and Hartman seconded to set the formal <br />hearing dates as, April 2!Jlto April 28. Jan Pelland, County Assessor, will be on the i agenaa-i next week <br />to set the referee hearing dates for residentta_l/commercial protests. <br />Discussion was held on the impact of the reappraisal and how it will <br />affect the mill levy.~o Once the referees have reviewed the protests <br />they will make a reccommendation to the Board of Equalization. The <br />Board of Equaliztion will then need to accept' or deny the <br />reccommendations. <br /> <br />Quandt made motion and Hartman seconded to go out of the Board of <br />Equalization meeting. Abernethy Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, <br />Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> <br />Discussion was held on the budget freeze. The county officials were <br />asked for their input on the budget letter. They discussed this and <br />Ellen Totzke will write a letter with their_stxggest.ions.'l'he'buCiget <br />letter has been drafted. Ellen Merrill has the budget forms that <br />are ready to go to the state for their approval. April 25, this <br />will be presented to the board. The budget freeze will also be on <br />the agenda April 25:.. <br /> <br />Dan Hos~~+reported on the bid letting for culverts. Metal Culverts <br />was the low bidder. Hartman made motion and Rosenkotter seconded <br />to accept the low bid.
