<br />Madison County Atto~ney, Joe Smith, Madison County Public Defender~and
<br />Hall County Public Defender, Jerry Piccolo'were present to discuss
<br />the inter local agreement between counties and the needed assistance
<br />from Hall County in the murder trial forth. coming in Madison County.
<br />The original agreement between the two counties need to be renewed and
<br />updated. Discussion was on renewal of the contract, having a meeting
<br />with Madison County, obtaining figures entailed with this contract, a
<br />report from Jerry concerning working on this murder trial and the effect
<br />it would have on 'his office staff and work load and also the need to
<br />talk to Jim Truell to see if he would be willing to take on more cases
<br />during this time. Landis wanted murder cases be addressed in the new
<br />agreement and volunteered to be the Board's spokesman when meeting with
<br />a Madison County representative.

<br />A public hearing was held at 10:00 A.M. as published, for a rezoning
<br />request of land located on the west side of Burkett Road which is
<br />opposite of the Wood River Country Club to allow a small sub division.
<br />Nelson Helms, Regional Planning Commission and Dennis Bonsack owner of
<br />the land were both in attendance. Helms said the Planning Commission
<br />recommended the request be granted as it is in compliance with the
<br />county's comprehensive plan. Hartman made motion, seconded by Quandt
<br />to have the County Attorney's office draw up a resolution for approval.
<br />Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk voted
<br />yes, none voted no.

<br />Hartman: made motion, seconded by Quandt to approve final plat for
<br />R.J. Olson Subdivision and authorize Chairman to sign. Abernethy,
<br />Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk voted yes,
<br />none voted no.

<br />Rosenkotter, made motion, seconded by Quandt to set February 21, 1995
<br />at 2:30 P.M. as the public hearing date for rezoning of land owner
<br />by Marvin & Elaine Hartmann of approximately 38 acres located south
<br />of Husker Highway immediately east of l30th Road in Hall County.
<br />Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk
<br />voted yes, none voted no.
