<br />Cj6 f--37J: <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISOR MEETING, NOVEMBER 21, 1996 <br /> <br />, <br />\ <br /> <br />The Hall County Board met at 11:00 a.m. from recess of meeting November <br />19, 1996, in County Board meeting room, 121 South Pine, Grand Island. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order by Chair Tammie Stelk. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL: Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Hartman, <br />Margaret Landis, Robert Leslie, Huey Long, Gary Quandt and <br />Tammie Stelk. None were absent. <br /> <br />PRESENT: Present were Deputy Attorney Jerom Janulewicz, new media repre- <br />sentatives Carol Bryant, Grand Island Independent, Chris Peter- <br />sent, State Legislator elect, Max Boersen, County Building <br />Inspector, Fred Bosselman, Chuck Bosselman and 14 residents from <br />the Bosselman Travel Center area. <br /> <br />Meeting was to consider the Conditional Use Permit for Bosselman Inc. <br /> <br />Chair Stelk opened the meeting with comments. <br />Landis, Chair of Conditional Use Committee reported on Committee meeting <br />held yesterday morning with City Officials, Bosselmans and others. She <br />explained the costs and the committee recommends approving the lagoon <br />system. <br /> <br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Long to issue the Conditional Use Permit <br />requested and prepared by Deputy County Attorney. <br />Discussion followed. Chuck Bosselman answered questions from Supervisor <br />Quandt. Fred Bosselman also spoke and answered questions. <br />Supervisors Hartman and Stelk made comments. Abernethy read parts of the <br />resolution. <br />Also speaking were Dale Bochman, 3858 W. Wood River Road <br />Darrel Sutter, 3698 W. Wood River Road, stated he lives close to the <br />alternate site and he prefers the proposed location is he had choice. <br />James Hough, lives on South North Road, 1 mile from the system. <br /> <br />News representatives from KRGI Radio and KHAS-TV arrived at meeting during <br />the discussion. <br /> <br />Question was called for to vote on motion and approve Resolution #96~0070 <br />On roll call vote Abernethy, Landis, Leslie and Long voted yes, Hartman, <br />Quandt and Stelk voted no. Motion carried on 4 yes, 3 no vote. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ## 9& - CJ 0 1tJ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION GRANTING AN APPLICATION FOR THE CONDmONAL USE OF <br />A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER (SE1/4 NE1I4) OF <br />THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF SECflON 'IWENTY-TBREE (23), TOWNSHIP TEN <br />(10) NORTH, RANGE TEN (10) WEST OF THE 6th P.M., BALL COUNTY, <br />NEBRASKA. <br /> <br />WHEREAS Bosselman, Inc. hereinafter referred to as applicant, is the owner of the <br />Southeast Quarter' of the Northea~ Quarter (SEl/4 NEl/4) of Section Twenty-three (23), <br />Township Ten (10) North, Range Ten (10) West of the 6th P.M, Hall County, Nebraska, <br />hereinafter referred to as the "property"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS applicant has made its written application for a permit to use the above- <br />descnoed property for the construction, operation, and maintenance of sewage trea~ent lagoons; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said property is located within the AG-l Agricultural Zoning District; and <br />\ <br />WHEREAS, on October 28, 1996, following due and proper notice, the Hall County <br />Board of Supervisors held a public hearing upon said application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the Hall County Zoning Resolution, the Hall Coun~ B.oard of <br />Supervisors is empowered to grant an application for conditi~nal use upo.n a ~et~tion that <br />the proposed use is consistent with the intent of the AG-l Agncultural Zonmg District.. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, up~n considera~on of the evid~ce <br />presented and the factors to be considered pursuant to subse~on d. of s:ction 11 o~ the Zonmg <br />Resolution, the use of the aforesaid property for the construction, operation and mamtenance of <br />
