9'rf r~ 357 Board members discussed the situation. Suggested placing in committee to get all sides of the story for future use of cases. Landis, Abernethy, and Leslie to have meeting Susan Stuckert and Janulewicz. Janulewicz stated they need to take care of the Gallagher request today. Since Mr. Gallagher was a veteran, the Veteran Service Office Don Shuda was called to the meeting. Attorney Janulewicz requested an Executive Session to discuss the Gallagher request from veteran's side and should be in closed session. Motion by Landis, seconded by Long to recess for Executive Session to discuss the Gallagher request with Attorney and Veterans Service Officer. Abernethy, Landis, Leslie, Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Hartman was absent. Motion by Quandt, seconded by Abernethy to refer the Gallagher housing request to Veterans Service Officer for futher research. Abernethy, Landis, Leslie, Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Hartman was absent. Motion carried. VISITOR PROMOTION ADVISORY BOARD INTERVIEWS: Conducted interviews with June Giboney, 718 Sweetwood Drive, Grand Island and Brenda Levinson, 2606 Brahma, Grand Island. Cyndi Pepper did not show for an interview. Motion by Quandt, seconded by Landis to make the appointment of three members to Visitors Promotion Board on November 19th Board meeting. Abernethy, Landis, Leslie, Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Hartman was absent. Motion carried. COUNTY BOARD ASSISTANT REPORT: Had no report today, had provided weekly progress report in writing. COUNTY BOARD MEMBER REPORTS: Landis Had Conditional Use Permit Committee meeting yesterday morning. Requested the Conditonal Use Permit for Bosselman Inc be placed on County Board agenda for November 19th meeting. Quandt Raised questions on the Conditional Use Permit, and if all alternatives had been looked at. Suggested year to year basis instead of 5 or 10 years. Need to get utilities extended from city to interchange. Stelk suggested cooperation with City with City being responsible to City limits and County be responsible from City limits to interstate. Need to look at this and County could pay from Inheritance Fund. Quandt - Vending Committee met this morning with Elected and Appointed officials. Will have recommendation at later date. Abernethy Attended Family Violence Board meeting, Regional III meeting in Kearney in regard to Mental Health problems, Emergency Manage- ment Planning meeting at City Hall. She stated she had drove around areas in question and discussed at last week's meeting. Leslie - Reported on GIS Committee meeting held yesterday. Will hold another meeting next week and will make futher report them. Long Attended Conditional Use Committee meeting and Long Range Planning meeting for Economic Development. Stelk - Was unable to attend the GIS Committee meeting. Attended Health Department Board meeting and made brief report. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Landis question the County Government Day plans. Abernethy, Leslie and Long will be attending meeting in Omaha and will not be present for County Government Day. ADJOURNMENT: Chair adjourned the meeting at 12:00 noon. Will be no regular County Board Meeting Tuesday, November 12th, due to County Government Day for Students. Next meeting will be Tuesday, November 19, 1996 at 9:00 a.m.
