<br />Motion by Abernethy, seconded by Quandt to approve payment of claims as
<br />audited, except Quandt requested to refer claim from Godfather's Pizza
<br />$60.66 to County Attorney for clarification. Abernethy, Landis, Leslie,

<br />EMERGENCY ITEM: Supervisor Landis requested an emergency item be added
<br />to today's agenda in regard to request for testing RDX in groundwater.
<br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Quandt to add Emergency Item to agenda
<br />for the request from Central Platte NRD for RDX testing. Abernethy, Landis,
<br />Leslie, Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no, Hartman was absent.
<br />Motion carried.

<br />Supervisor Landis read the letter she had received from Central Platte
<br />Natural Resource District in regard to sharing costs to test RDX in
<br />groundwater for limited spot-check budget for $12,000.00 with City of
<br />Grand Island, Hall County and Merrick County each funding $2000.00 and
<br />NRD Board to match with $6000.00
<br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Quandt to authorize NRD to do testing
<br />for RDX and Hall County to fund up to $2000.00 to be paid from Reuse line
<br />item in the Inheritance Fund. Abernethy, Landis, Leslie, Long, Quandt
<br />and Stelk voted yes, none voted no, Hartman was absent. Motion carried.

<br />
<br />Chair Stelk announced for public information the Election Commissioner's
<br />Office is open Wednesday and Thursday night this week until 7:00 p.m. and
<br />until 6:00 p.m. on Friday for voter registrations for the General Election
<br />November 5th.
<br />Wood River Rural High School will be site for Public Forum on Election
<br />ballot issues #411 and #412 at 7:30 p.m on October 28th.
<br />Lakeview Advisory Board will be holding their Health Fair Friday,October
<br />25, 1996 10:00 a.m. unti, 3:00 p.m.
<br />
<br />ADJOURNMENT: Chair adjourned the meeting at 2:42 p.m. Next meeting will
<br />be Public Hearing on Monday, October 28th at 7:00 p.m. and Next Board of
<br />Supervisor meeting will be Tuesday, October 29th at 9:00 a.m.
