<br />CRIMINAL JUSTICE COMMITTEE REPORT: Supervisor Abernethy, Chairman of Comm-
<br />ittee reported the information from Douglas County for Attorney fees had
<br />been referred to District Judge Livingston for review and the committee
<br />will report at later time, when they have heard back from the Judge.
<br />Supervisor Landis requested this report be placed on County Board
<br />agenda again for the October 29th meeting.
<br />
<br />COUNTY TREASURER'S DELINQUENT TAX REPORT: Letter from County Treasurer
<br />Doris Mason with report on delinquent personal property taxes for 1995 and
<br />prior years, for 80 distress warrants, with fees amounting to $40,611.66 and
<br />have been turned over to Hall County Sheriff for collection.
<br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Leslie to accept and place on file the
<br />report for County Treasurer's delinquent personal property taxes. Abernethy,
<br />Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no.
<br />Motion carried.
<br />
<br />PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR Dan Hostler reported the Committee recommended
<br />accepting the low bid from Gary Smith Construction for asphalt maintenance
<br />projects received today~
<br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Leslie to accept bid of Gary Smith
<br />Construction $168,657~00 total for three projects and authorize chairman
<br />to sign contract. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Long, and' Quandt
<br />voted yes, Stelk voted no. Motion carried on 6 yes, 1 no vote.
<br />
<br />Supervisor Quandt asked Public Works Director Hostler about the Adams Street
<br />near Berkeley PUmp between Stolley Park and Anna Streets.
<br />
<br />Hostler reported he had received in his office the Burlington Northern
<br />Railroad report on the building of double tracks from st. Michael to
<br />Abbott, if anyone is interested in reviewing the project.
<br />
<br />NEBRASKA COMMISSION ON PUBLIC ADVOCACY: James Mowbray, Director of the
<br />Commission spoke in regard to indigent defense services which will be
<br />available to counties.
<br />
<br />HALL COUNTY TREASURER'S MISCELLANEOUS RECEIPTS: Motion by Abernethy,
<br />seconded by Leslie to accept and place on file the County Treasurer's
<br />miscellaneous receipts as presented. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie,
<br />Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.
