<br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING, SEPTEMBER 3, 1996

<br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 a.m. from adjourned session
<br />and by published call, in the County Board meeting room, Administration
<br />Building, 121 South Pine, Grand Island.
<br />
<br />CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order by Chair Tammie Stelk.
<br />
<br />INVOCATION: Invocation was given by Rev. Joel Schroeder, st Paul's Lutheran
<br />Church, Grand Island.
<br />
<br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: The Pledge of Allegiance was given.
<br />
<br />ROLL CALL: Present were Irene Abernethy, Margaret Landis, Robert Leslie,
<br />Huey Long, Gary Quandt and Tammie Stelk. Absent was Richard Hartman, (who
<br />arrived at 9:07 a.m.
<br />
<br />PRESENT were County Attorney Ellen Totzke, Carol Bryant, reporter with Grand
<br />Island Independent.
<br />
<br />MINUTES OF AUGUST 30th MEETING: Motion by Quandt, seconded by Long to accept
<br />minutes of August 30th meeting as received. Abernethy, Landis, Leslie, Long,
<br />Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no, Hartman was absent. Motion
<br />carried.
<br />
<br />COUNTY ATTORNEY: Ellen Totzke was present, had requested Executive Session
<br />for today's meeting.
<br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Abernethy to recess for Executive Session
<br />for discussion of strategy'onpublic Safety Center Lease with County Attorney.
<br />Abernethy, Landis, Leslie, Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no,
<br />Hartman was absent. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />EXECUTIVE SESSION AT 9:05 A.M. Supervisor Hartman arrived a~beginning of
<br />session. Motion by Quandt, seconded by Leslie to return to regular session.
<br />Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none
<br />voted no. Motion carried.
<br />RETURNED TO REGULAR SESSION at 9:25 a.m.
<br />

<br />she objected to the Executive Session.
<br />
<br />Chair Stelk stated they would visit with Deputy Attorney Janulewicz to set
<br />a date formeeting with City representatives in regard to the lease and County
<br />Board Committee will be Stelk, Hartman and Long.
<br />
<br />RESOLUTION #96-0055: Motion by Quandt, seconded by Long to adopt Resolution
<br />#96-0055 to transfer funds for 1996-1997 budget. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis,
<br />Leslie, Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.

<br />
<br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING FUNDS FOR THE 1996-1997 BUDGET
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Hall County Board of Supervisors adopted the
<br />1996-1997 fiscal year budget on August 27, 1996; and
<br />
<br />,WHEREAS, that budget includes the transfer of monies to
<br />provlde revenue for the new Insurance Fund;
<br />
<br />N?W, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Hall Cqunty Board of
<br />Supervlsors that the Hall County Treasurer shall transfer on
<br />September 3, 1996, $65,000 from General Fund to Insurance Fund.
