<br />96;-:--- ;2. t ~ <br /> <br />? <br /> <br />COUNTY BOARD ASSISTANT REPORT: Ellen Merrill gave weekly progress report. <br />Need performance evaluations for Park Superintendent, Building Inspector <br />and Weed Control Superintendent returned so reviews can be conducted within <br />30 days of their anniversary dates. (2) Need to set up a GIS Committee <br />meeting (3) reminder she will be attending Information Officer Schooling <br />in Lincoln, August 20, 21 and 22nd. (4) The monthly reports from Truell <br />Law Office for contracts is available in her office for review. <br /> <br />COUNTY BOARD MEMBER REPORTS: <br />Quandt - Attended Weed Control Authority Meeting last night. <br />Landis - Have attended Budget worksessions and has CNCS Meeting this week. <br />Hartman - none <br /> <br />Long - none <br /> <br />Abernethy - none <br /> <br />Leslie none <br /> <br />Stelk - Thanked the Board Members for attending all the budget worksessions. <br />She will attend Health Board meeting tonight at 7:00 P.M. at Health <br />Department building. Plan to hold these meeting 6 months in County <br />Board meeting room and 6 month at City Hall meeting room. (2) has <br />Senior Citizens Board meeting Wednesday night, (3) Has Transportation <br />meeting in Lincoln Thursday and requested Ellen Merrill to go with <br />her (4) Monday have Criminal Justice Committee meeting. <br /> <br />HEALTH BENEFIT PLAN: Deputy Attorney Jerom Janulewicz presented each board <br />member with copies of the proposed Health Plan Only, will be a separate plan <br />for the dental and will receive. later (hope for next week's meeting) Mid <br />American will be here August 23rd with policies for each employee. Board <br />members asked to delay at this time until they read the proposal and will <br />take action at 1:30 p.m. <br />Discussion on the dental, whether to offer open enrollment period or <br />stay with the current plan. Will discuss at 1:30 p.m. also. <br /> <br />ELECTRICAL WORK AT COURTHOUSE - Rick Stepanek, Building & Grounds Superin- <br />tendent reported need more discussion on the electrical work and will return <br />next week with recommendation. Present were City of Grand Island Building <br />Inspector Craig Lewis, Electrical utilities Bob Smith, Kay ton Electric <br />representative and County Building Inspector Max Boersen. <br /> <br />Chairman Stelk placed the City of Grand Island Utility Easement on agenda <br />for next week's meeting also. <br /> <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />Criminal Justice Committee meeting, Monday at noon, bring own lunch. <br /> <br />Chair recessed the meeting at 11:15 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Returned to session at 1:10 p.m. Present were Abernethy, Landis, Leslie, <br />Long, Quandt and Stelk. Hartman was absent but arrived at 1:25 p.m. <br /> <br />HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN: Attorney Janulewicz was present and answered questions <br />on the health insurance plan. <br />Supervisor Hartman arrived during this discussion. <br /> <br />Motion by Long, seconded by Hartman to accept the Health Plan and authorize <br />Chair to sign the Hall County Employee Benefit Plan, effective September 1, <br />1996. Abernethy, Hartman, Leslie, Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none <br />voted no, Landis abstained due to possible conflict of interest. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT: Chair adjourned the meeting at 1:40 p.m. to continue the <br />budget worksession which had met from 8:00 a.m. until recess at 9:00 a.m. <br />for Board Supervisor regular meeting.
