<br />Janulewicz stated they had assisted with the interviews for consultant
<br />and if Army officials complete a contract, a consultant could be in place by
<br />September 1st.

<br />Hartman, seconded by Quandt to approve the Ordinance requested. Hartman,

<br />LIQUOR LICENSE APPLICATION, SET PUBLIC HEARING: Nebraska Liquor Control
<br />Commission in regard to Off/Sale Beer & Off/Sale Wine Application from
<br />Bosselman Inc, dba"Pump & Pantry #1" located 3507 E. Bismark Road,Grand Island.
<br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Leslie to set Public Hearing for August
<br />13, 1996 at 10:00 a.m. for application for Pump & Pantry. Hartman, Landis,
<br />Leslie, Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no, Abernethy absent.

<br />BOARD MEMBER ACTION: Supervisor Quandt spoke in regard to motion made at
<br />last week's meeting by Leslie. Quandt accused Leslie of having Board Assist-
<br />ant make haircut appointments for him and also comments to female county
<br />employees that could give the appearance of sexual harassment, but would not
<br />disclose any names. Chair Stelk stated this was unprofessional and would
<br />move on with today's agenda.

<br />SETTLEMENT OF HALL COUNTY TREASURER WITH HALL COUNTY BOARD: as per statute
<br />77-1745 RRS of Nebraska 1943, County Treasurer's report was presented.
<br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Landis to accept and place report on
<br />file. Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted
<br />no, Abernethy absent. Motion carried.

<br />COUNTY OFFICE REPORTS: Motion by Landis, seconded by Hartman to accept and
<br />place on file the County Sheriff's report of fees, mileage and miscellaneous
<br />earned for months of April May and June 1996, and copies and motor vehicle
<br />inpections. Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none
<br />voted no, Abernethy absent. Motion carried.

<br />COUNTY BOARD ASSISTANT REPORT: Ellen Merrill County Board Assistant was on
<br />vacation this week but had left a written progress report.

<br />COUNTY BOARD MEMBER REPORTS:

<br />Long: Attended Public Works Committee meeting and also the Midland Area
<br />Agency on Aging meeting in Hastings.
<br />
<br />Leslie: Attended Regional III Mental Health meeting last Friday.
<br />
<br />Quandt: Attended the Midland Area Agency meeting in Hastings, Will have a
<br />Park Committee meeting.
<br />
<br />Landis: Attended Public Works Committee meeting, to look at water problems
<br />in County. Requested Public Works Committee meeting to review the
<br />budget with Public Works Director.
<br />
<br />Hartman: Attended the Public Works Committee meeting and reported on the
<br />tour of areas with water problems. He attended the Mid Plains Center
<br />meeting. Will set up Public Works Committee meeting for next week.

<br />Stelk: Reported she had signed the 425 property valuation protests to be
<br />mailed.
<br />
<br />TAX CORRECTION NOTICES: Jan Pelland, County Assessor presented tax correction
<br />notices #1353 thru #1382.
<br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Hartman to authorize chair to initial the
<br />tax correction notices #1353 thru #1382 as presented. Hartman, Landis,
<br />Leslie, Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no, Abernethy absent.

<br />Landis asked Stelk or Leslie to visit with Senior Citizen Industries Director
<br />in regard to the handibus funding. Stelk said she would take care of.
