Cleburn, Grand Island, <br /> <br />Discussion on the interviews. <br />Chair Stelk thanked the applicants for coming and showing interest in the <br />Veterans Service. <br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Leslie to appoint Kenneth Brandt to <br />term on the Veterans Service Committee. Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Long, <br />Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no, Abernethy absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />10:35 a.m. returned to audit of monthly claims. <br /> <br />Discussed the Mid Nebraska Individual Services (Retardation) claim $48,925.00 <br />this is amount for full year payment, discussed quarterly payments instead of <br />full payment, at least until the budget is adopted. <br /> <br />Motion by Long, seconded by Landis to accept claims as audited and authorize <br />payment of claim, except for Mid Nebraska Individual Services pay for first <br />quarter only, $12,231.25. Quandt requested claim for Danny Mitna $14.00 be <br />held for clarification with County Park Superintendent. Landis, Leslie, <br />Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, Hartman voted no, Abernethy absent. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br /> <br />Discussed letter received from Richard. VanZyl, in regard to stop sign at <br />Old Potash Road going into Cornhusker Ammunition plant and the Transfer <br />Station. <br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Hartman to refer to Public Works Committee <br />and Director. Hartman stated would have Public Works meeting 9:00 a.m. <br />Friday, at Public Works Office. Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Long, Quandt <br />and Stelk voted yes, none voted no, Abernethy absent.
