<br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING, APRIL 16, 1996

<br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 a.m. from adjourned
<br />session and by published call, in the County Board Meeting Room,
<br />Administration Building, 121 South pine, Grand Island.
<br />
<br />CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order by Chair Tammie Stelk.
<br />
<br />INVOCATION: The invocation was given by Rev. Paul Koenig, Messiah
<br />Lutheran Church, Grand Island
<br />
<br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: The Pledge of Allegiance. was given.
<br />
<br />ROLL CALL: Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Hartman,
<br />Margaret Landis, Robert Leslie, Gary Quandt, Judy Rosenkotter and Tammie
<br />Stelk. None were absent.
<br />
<br />MINUTES OF APRIL 9th MEETING: Motion by Hartman, seconded by Leslie to
<br />accept minutes of Board of Supervisors meeting and Board of Equalization
<br />meeting(as corrected) Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt,
<br />Roenkotter and Stelk voted yes. None voted no. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />COUNTY ATTORNEY: Deputy Attorney Jerom Janulewicz was present.
<br />
<br />STATE DEPARTMENT OF ROADS DIRECTOR REGARDING HIGHWAY 281. Alan Abbott,
<br />State Department of Roads Director spoke in regard to Highway 281 north
<br />to st. Paul, in reply to letter from County Board. He and Governor felt
<br />a personal visit would be better than a letter to County Board. He stated
<br />plans are to complete 4 lanes to st Paul when traffic count warrants the
<br />need which they think will b~ 15 to 20 years. Two lane road from Highway
<br />58 to st Paul should be completed late July or early August this year.
<br />He answered questions from the Board members.
<br />
<br />COUNTY ATTORNEY: Deputy Janulewicz presented proposed resolution in
<br />regard to changing land use District Bounda~y of Hall County Zoning Map
<br />as approved at last weeks County Board's Public Hearing. _
<br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Hartman tn approve Resolution #96-0024
<br />,as presented. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Rosenkotter
<br />voted yes, none voted no, Stelk abstained.

<br />A RESOLmON CHANGING THE LAND USE DISTRICT BOUNDARY
<br />OF THE HALL COUNTY ZONING MAP
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the following descnoed real property is located within the AG-1
<br />Agricultural land use zoning district, to wit:
<br />
<br />The West Half of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter 0Nl/2
<br />NEl/4 NW1/4) and the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter
<br />(NW1/4 NWl/4) Section Fourteen (14) Township Ten (10) North, Range
<br />Ten (10) West of the 6th Prime Meridian, Hall County, Nebraska; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, Maynard Stelk and Marcella Stelk, owners of said property, have
<br />requested a change in land use district of said property from AG-1 Agricultural District to
<br />a Planned Unit Development so as to permit the construction of one single family
<br />residence upon a small lot of a portion of said property; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, at the reguIar meeting of the Regional Planning Commission, held
<br />April 3, 1996, said request was considered following a public hearing thereon. Upon
<br />consideration of the matter, the Planning Commission, by unanimous vote of the eleven
<br />members present, recommended that the Hall County Board of Supervisors approve the
<br />requested change of land use district as being in conformance with the adopted County
<br />Comprehensive Development Plan in maintaining the maximum density permitted under
<br />current conditions of the property; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, at the reguIar meeting of the Hall County Board of Supervisors, held
<br />April 9, 1996, a public hearing was had upon said request.
