HALL CC�UNTY BUDGET MESSAGE The fiscai palicy fiar th� �ounty af Haii for the budget y�ar 2Q13/2014 was very canservative in nature. All departments were asked to present budge#s holding their non-payrall related expenses equal ta or less than the ; previous year's approved budget. Non union employees were given a 2°fo COLA plus steps if eligible. Employees j electing to receive family health insurance coverage pay 20°l0 of the premium and singles pay 5°l0. There are also � fiour unions representing Hall County empiayees with wage increases and benefifs similar to nonunion employees. � Petty Cash amounts approved by the Hal! County Board are as follt�ws: Hall County Inmate Welfare $2,OQ0, Haii ; County Treasurer $500 for pasta�e and $140 for �perations, Ha11 County Attorney Law Enforcement $2,500, Hali County Attorney Check Department $15fl, Drug Court $50Q, Hall County Park $200, Hall Gounty C(erk $��0, Cierk of ; District Court $200, Register of �eeds $50, County Caurt $1200. Hall County has unissued debt authorized by the '�� baard thraugh the 2013t2014 �rudget for 3 projects. The county currently has an outstanding capital lease with a � balance of $600,481.30 for the purchase of 6 matar graders payabie in five annua! payments concluding January � 2016. The county has an outs�anding capitai lease with a balance of $29,030.11 for the purchase c�f a zipper ; payable in 5 annual payrnents conciuding actober 201�. The County pians to enter into a capitai lease far the ; purchase of 2 ballot printers far a tot�l of $15,780 payable in 5 annual payments conciuding in 2017. Any additianal ; borrawing by the County would be determined by the county's levy limits or the vote of the caunty's patrans ( authorizing new borrawing not subject ta levy limits.
