5. PUBLIC WORKS - a) 9:30 A.M. BID OPENING BIDS FOR CULVERTS -�Quandt made a <br /> motion and McFarland seconded to apen the annual culvert bids. Arnald, Lancaster, <br /> McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all vated yes and none voted no. Motian <br /> carried. <br /> The fallowing bids were received: <br /> CONTRACTOR TOTAL BID CULVERTS 14 PROJECTS <br /> Midwest Service & Sales $218,�77.66 <br /> C�ntech Construction $159,175.Q0 <br /> Ace/Eaton Metals $163,275.20 <br /> Quandt made a motion and Ziola seconded to refer the bids to the public works committee for <br /> review and came back with a decision today. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, <br /> Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carri�d. <br /> 6. UPDAT� AND REQUEST FOR FUNDING FROM MIDLAND AREA AGENCY ON AGING <br /> Sandi Stevens, Executive Dir�ctor with Midland Area Agency on Aging was present. The total <br /> request if$30,005.00 and the membership fee is $10,880.00 this is $1.00 for each persan over <br /> the age of 60 in Hall County. $19,125.00 is for the senior services pragrams for Hall County. <br /> Theresa Engelhardt stated that these dollars cover the meals. They deliver about 212 meals in <br /> Grand Island alone. This is the third year that the budget request has stayed the same. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Ziola seconded to apprave the funding for Midland Area Agency on <br /> Aging for$30,005.00. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all <br /> voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Ms Stevens thanked Ms. Lancaster Mr. Purdy and Mr. Ziola for serving on the MAAA governing <br /> board. <br /> 8. DISCUSS AND APPROVE RESOLUTION PERTAINING TO THE GRAND ISLAND <br /> VETERANS HOME INCLUDING SUPPORT OF EXHIBIT D FOR THE PROPOSAL QF THE <br /> GRAND ISLAND VETERANS HOME -Veterans Service Officer pon Shuda read the <br /> resalution. McFarland made a motion and Quandt seconded ta approve Resolution 13-Q21 with <br /> the attachment.
