C/?~ '/30 I COUNTY BOARD ASSISTANT REPORT: Had provided written progress report and had four letters ready for board member signatures. COUNTY BOARD MEMBER REPORTS: Quandt: Attended Weed Control Authority meeting, questioned the policy in regard to outside vendors in county buildings. Landis: GaVe an update report on the Reuse Committee on hiring consultant, have 27 firms expressing interest. Have Paunch committee meet- ing Wednesday, April 10 at 7:30 p.m. Also have Regiohal Planning committee meeting. Leslie - none Abernethy - Attending meeting in Hastings in regard to Mental Health. Rosenkotter - Has attended meetings of the Paunch Committee, Economic Development, Public Works Committee and Library Board meeting. Rosenkotter and Abernethy will be going to South Sioux city to view the staff secured facility tomorrow if anyone wishes to go with them. Also spoke in regard to Health Fest 1996 at st Francis Medical Center. Stelk - Attended Regional Planning Committee meetinq, Attended City Council meeting with Lois stienike and they will help with Handibus funding. She asked that a letter be sent to each Council Member thanking them for their support. Attended Senior Citizens Industries meeting, Regional Planning Committee to meet at 10:00 a.m. Thursday and the committee for joint purchasing & incentive budgeting will meet at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday April lath. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Abernethy stated she :felt all County Board Members should see the applica- tions for Regional Planning Director and not just the committee. She stated the Sioux City representative requested to be on the agenda, she did not ask them to appear. Quandt spoke briefly on the grant request and also requested letter should be sent to County Attorney Totzke. . Motion by Quandt, seconded by Rosenkotter to draft letter of support to Attorney Ellen Totzke on her efforts on the school truancy. Abernethy, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk voted yes, none voted no, with Hartman absent. Motion carried. NEW BUSINESS: Abernethy - Board had requested quarterly reports from agencies receiving funding from county budget and some have not been doing this and felt we should remind them of the board's request. Landis stated should be at least every 6 months, if not quarterly reports.
