<br />9~~ - tJ7?' <br /> <br />". <br />J <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING, MARCH 5, 1996 <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met March 5 at 9:00 a.m. <br />from adjourned session and by published call in the County Board <br />Meeting Room, Administration Building, 121 South Pine Street, <br />Grand Island, Nebraska. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order by Chair Tammie <br />Stelk. <br /> <br /> <br />INVOCATION: The invocation was given by Supervisor Gary Quandt. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: The Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL: Present on Roll Call were Irene Abernethy, Richard <br />Hartman, Margaret Landis, Robert Leslie, Gary Quandt, Judy <br />Rosenkotter, and Tammie Stelk. <br /> <br />MINUTES OF FEBRUARY 27 MEETING: Quandt moved and Rosenkotter <br />seconded the motion to accept the minutes as received. Quandt, <br />Landis, Hartman, Stelk, Leslie, Abernethy, and Rosenkotter voted <br />yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COUNTY ATTORNEY: Deputy County Attorney Jerom Janulewicz <br />answered board members' questions regarding cost sharing with the <br />City of Grand Island for continuing the environmental impact <br />study on the South Locust Street/I-80 Interchange project and a <br />letter from Alhaji S. D Garba. <br /> <br />Hall County Public Works Director Dan Hostler was asked to <br />address the costs of the environmental impact study and the <br />conservation easements. Hostler said it would have taken two <br />years' worth of county federal highway allocation funds to <br />purchase the conservation easements, and so the City of Grand <br />Island has agreed to provide half the needed funds to help pay <br />the estimated $280,000 for conservation easfments rather than the <br />previous proposal of the city to split the $22,970 cost for <br />completing the environmental impact study w~th the county.
