<br />q~~C;5,p <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />AMUSEMENT LICENSE FOR MID-NEBRASKA SPEEDWAY INC.: Hartman made a <br />motion which was seconded by Quandt to approve the amusement <br />license for Mid-Nebraska Speedway Incorporated. Quandt, Landis, <br />Hartman, Stelk, Leslie, Abernethy, Rosenkotter voted yes and none <br />voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION: Stelk explained that the <br />Assessor is ill today and asked that these items be delayed one <br />week. Landis made a motion which was seconded by Leslie to delay <br />the items listed on this agenda for one week. Quandt, Landis, <br />Hartman, Stelk, Leslie, Abernethy, Rosenkotter voted yes and none <br />voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COUNTY OFFICER REPORTS: Rosenkotter made a motion which was <br />seconded by Abernethy to accept the county office reports from <br />the Election Commissioner (monthly and annual), Register of <br />Deeds, Civil Defense - Communications Department, Health <br />Department, and the Public Works Director's report on the NACE <br />meeting. Quandt, Landis, Hartman, Stelk, Leslie, Abernethy, <br />Rosenkotter voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />TELEPHONE COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: Communications Director <br />Howard Maxon addressed the board and discussed the information <br />which had been distributed in the members' packets regarding the <br />problems being experienced with the Public Defender's Office's <br />telephone equipment. Maxon said the problem has been isolated to <br />the telephone system and recommended replacing it. <br /> <br />Landis made a motion which was seconded by Hartman to'deny taking <br />this money from the Miscellaneous General Budget and allow the <br />Public Defender to pay for the system out of his office's budget. <br />Landis said the Public Defender can decide which option to select <br />since the office's workload has been reduced by one third. The <br />issue was discussed. <br /> <br />Leslie asked that this matter be delayed so it can be determined <br />if there's enough money left in the Public Defender's Office's <br />budget to pay for this exPense. Landis made a motion which was <br /> <br />seconded by Quandt to table this issue. Quandt, Landis, Hartman, <br />Leslie, Abernethy, and Rosenkotter voted yes and Stelk voted no. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Rosenkot~er made a motion which was seconded by Abernethy to <br />place th~s matter on the agenda for next week. The issue was <br />discussed. Quandt, Landis, and Hartman voted no and Stelk <br />1, Ab ' , <br />Les ~e, ernethy, and Rosenkotter voted yes.
