<br />9~;=: 65-3 <br /> <br />1- <br /> <br />. ~ <br /> <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Rosenkotter distributed copies of her <br />August 11, 1995, testimony at the State Board of Equalization <br />meeting to respond to comments made by Hartman on January 23, <br />1996, when she was absent due to illness. <br /> <br />Quandt and Landis asked questions about the NACO meeting last <br />week and Leslie responded. <br /> <br />Quandt said a motion still stands to put the South Locust Street <br />interchange project to a vote after the environmental impact <br />study is completed. The issue was discussed. <br /> <br />Hartman discussed Stelk's comments last night at the Grand Island <br />City Council meeting. He said for the record that the two rural <br />representatives didn't support hiring the new Weed Superintendent <br />because they favored Jack Niemoth but got blown out. Stelk <br />replied that Landis was absent from the meeting for a good ~eason <br />and Hartman left the meeting after she had asked for his input. <br /> <br />The South Locust Street/I-80 Interchange project was again <br />discussed. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS: Abernethy said she plans to distribute a report on <br />the NACO workshop next week. She said she'd like to have a <br />meeting with surrounding counties to discuss juvenile detention. <br />Stelk asked Abernethy to put together a time and date. <br /> <br />Quandt asked when the E.A. contract will be on the agenda. Stelk <br />said after the vote on the interlocal agreement regarding the <br />conservation easements and zoning overlay. She said Grand Island <br /> <br />Mayor Ken Gnadt told her the City will work with the County <br />. regarding the cost of completing the environmental impact study. <br /> <br />Rosenkotter reported that she received a letter from the Federal <br />Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) that she has been accepted for <br />a class on terrorism June 24-28 in Emmettsburg, Maryland. She <br />asked that discussion of a workshop on parliamentary procedure <br />and Roberts Rules of Order be placed on the agenda for next week. <br /> <br />Juvenile detention funding discussed. <br /> <br />Hartman made a motion which was seconded by Rosenkotter to accept <br />bids for gravel on March 12 at 10:00 a.m. and allow Dan Hostler <br />to advertise it. Quandt,.Landis, Hartman, Stelk, Leslie, <br />Abernethy, and Rosenkotter voted yes and none voted no.
