<br />~?F <br /> <br />C253 <br />BOARD MEMBER REPORTS: Stelk - She attended the keno work-study <br />session, board of equalization meetings, the meeting on the <br />safety center and the computer committee meeting. She also <br />attended the Convention and Visitors Bureau and has copies of the <br />budget and minutes. She will also attend the Heartland Vision <br />meeting tonight. <br /> <br />Quandt - He will have a Head Start meeting Tuesday and Mid-land <br />Area Agency on Aging meeting Thursday. <br /> <br />Landis - She attended the board of equalization meetings, the <br />TERC hearings on Thursday, Landis stated Senator Chris Peterson <br />also attended the TERC hearings. She also attended the computer <br />committee, audit committee and there will be an audit committee <br />meeting on Friday. <br /> <br />Hartman - He attended the protest hearings and the Mid-Plains <br />meeting. Mid Plains gave their yearly financial report and are <br />on the plus side. They questioned if they will receive the <br />$90,000.00 funding they requested. <br /> <br />Lancaster - She attended the protest hearings, keno work-study, <br />computer committee and audit committee. She suggested looking at <br />the procedure the board used for the keno funding applications. <br /> <br />Abernethy - She attended the protest hearings, keno work-study <br />and the Family Violence board meeting. She is concerned about <br />the cuts in the keno funding for the Crisis Center and Family <br />Violence. She also attended the governors conferance on <br />restructuring government and reported an individual has been <br />hired to work for this conference. She will attend the Head <br />Start meeting and the Heartland Vision meeting. <br /> <br />Long - He attended the protest hearings and a meeting on the old <br />city hall building. He also attended the audit committee meeting <br />and the Stuhr Museum board meeting. <br /> <br />NEW AND UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Quandt suggested that when the <br />county offices receive calls the employees should identify <br />themselves. I was suggested that Mr. Quandt bring this to the <br />attention of the elected and appointed officials at one of their <br />meetings. <br /> <br />Stelk made a motion and Landis seconded to go into a board of <br />equalization meeting. Abernethy Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, <br />Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Stelk made a motion and Abernethy seconded to go out of the board <br />of equalization. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster,Landis,Long <br />Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />TAX CORRECTION NOTICES: Jan Pelland, County Assessor, presented <br />tax correction notices #1665 to #1680. Stelk made a motion and <br />Landis seconded to authorize the Chair to initial tax correction <br />notices #1665 to #1680. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, <br />Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Mr Long had a report from Stuhr Museum on the funds that were <br />spent on maintenance and the repairs that were made. <br /> <br />CLAIM AUDIT AND ACTION ON AUDIT: Landis made a motion and <br />Hartman seconded to approve the claims as audited. Abernethy, <br />Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes <br />and none voted no.
