91r /13 " HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING MAY 27 1997 , The Hall B~ard of Supervisors met from adjourned session and by published call 'in the County Board meetmg room, at 9:00 a.m., 121 South Pine, Grand Island, Nebraska. CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order by Chairman Huey Long at 9:05 a.m. INVOCATION: Invocation was given by Huey Long. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: The Pledge of Allegiance was given in unison. ROLL CALL: Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Hartman, Pamela Lancaster, Margaret Landis,Huey Long, Gary Quandt and Tammie Stelk. MINUTES OF THE MA Y 20 MEETING: Corrections were made to the minutes. Stelk made a motion and Quandt seconded to accept the minutes as received and place on file. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. PRESENT: Present were Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz and news media representatives from the Grand Island Independent, Channel 10/11 and Channel 5. COUNTY ATTORNEY: Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz was present. He provided the Board members with a copy of the resolution to establish a drug investigation petty cash fund for the office of the Hall County Sheriff Stelk made a motion and Landis seconded to approve Resolution #970037 to establish the Drug Investigation Petty Cash Fund. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. RESOLUTION ##97- tJO () 37 A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A DRUG INVESTIGATION PETTY CASH FUND FOR THE OFFICE OF THE BALL COUNTY SHERIFF WHEREAS, on June 25, 1992, the Hall County Board of Supervisors adopted a motion establishing a Drug Investigation Fund in the amount of three thousand dollars ($3,000.00) for the office of the Hall County Sheriff; and WHEREAS, said fund has been used as a petty cash fund and the funds therein used for payment of informants and expenses of agents and informant; flash money for drug purchases; and for money for drug purchases; and WHEREAS, the Hall County Board of Supervisors desire to formally approve and establish the aforesaid Drug Investigation Fund and a petty cash fund to be used by the Hall County Sheriff for payment of informants and expenses of agents and informant; flash money for drug purchases; and for money for drug purchases. NOW BE IT RESOLVED that the Drug Investigation Petty Cash Fund for the Office of the Hall County Sheriff be hereby established and maintained in the amount of three thousand dollars ($3,000.00) to be used for payment of informants and expenses of agents and informant; flash money for drug purchases; and for money for drug purchases. The maximum expenditure from said fund shall be $3,000.00. Said fund and maximum expenditure shall be stated in the fiscal policy of the county board budget message as required by law. Said petty cash fund shall comply with the following: 1. Money authorized to be maintained in said fund shall be disbursed to the Hall County Sheriff via the claim and warrant procedures followed by the County. 2. Warrants for replenishment of the fund shall be cashed by the Sheriff Said money may be maintained in a checking account, as cash, or divided.
