<br />91r /13 <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING MAY 27 1997 <br />, <br /> <br />The Hall B~ard of Supervisors met from adjourned session and by published call 'in the County <br />Board meetmg room, at 9:00 a.m., 121 South Pine, Grand Island, Nebraska. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order by Chairman Huey Long at 9:05 a.m. <br /> <br />INVOCATION: Invocation was given by Huey Long. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: The Pledge of Allegiance was given in unison. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL: Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Hartman, Pamela Lancaster, <br />Margaret Landis,Huey Long, Gary Quandt and Tammie Stelk. <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE MA Y 20 MEETING: Corrections were made to the minutes. Stelk made a <br />motion and Quandt seconded to accept the minutes as received and place on file. Abernethy, <br />Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />PRESENT: Present were Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz and news media <br />representatives from the Grand Island Independent, Channel 10/11 and Channel 5. <br /> <br />COUNTY ATTORNEY: Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz was present. He provided <br />the Board members with a copy of the resolution to establish a drug investigation petty cash fund <br />for the office of the Hall County Sheriff Stelk made a motion and Landis seconded to approve <br />Resolution #970037 to establish the Drug Investigation Petty Cash Fund. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ##97- tJO () 37 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A DRUG INVESTIGATION PETTY CASH FUND <br />FOR THE OFFICE OF THE BALL COUNTY SHERIFF <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on June 25, 1992, the Hall County Board of Supervisors adopted a motion <br />establishing a Drug Investigation Fund in the amount of three thousand dollars ($3,000.00) for the <br />office of the Hall County Sheriff; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said fund has been used as a petty cash fund and the funds therein used for <br />payment of informants and expenses of agents and informant; flash money for drug purchases; and <br />for money for drug purchases; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Hall County Board of Supervisors desire to formally approve and <br />establish the aforesaid Drug Investigation Fund and a petty cash fund to be used by the Hall <br />County Sheriff for payment of informants and expenses of agents and informant; flash money for <br />drug purchases; and for money for drug purchases. <br /> <br />NOW BE IT RESOLVED that the Drug Investigation Petty Cash Fund for the Office of <br />the Hall County Sheriff be hereby established and maintained in the amount of three thousand <br />dollars ($3,000.00) to be used for payment of informants and expenses of agents and informant; <br />flash money for drug purchases; and for money for drug purchases. The maximum expenditure <br />from said fund shall be $3,000.00. Said fund and maximum expenditure shall be stated in the <br />fiscal policy of the county board budget message as required by law. Said petty cash fund shall <br />comply with the following: <br /> <br />1. Money authorized to be maintained in said fund shall be disbursed to the Hall County Sheriff <br />via the claim and warrant procedures followed by the County. <br /> <br />2. Warrants for replenishment of the fund shall be cashed by the Sheriff Said money may be <br />maintained in a checking account, as cash, or divided. <br />
