<br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING, MARCH 25, 1997
<br />
<br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 a.m. from adjourned session
<br />and by published call, in County Board meeting room, 121 South Pine, Grand
<br />Island.
<br />
<br />CALL TO ORDER - The meeting was called to order by Chairman Huey Long.
<br />
<br />INVOCATION - Invocation was given by Pastor Joel Schroeder, st. Paul's
<br />Lutheran Church, Grand Island
<br />
<br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - The Pledge of Allegiance was given in unison.
<br />
<br />ROLL CALL - Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Hartman,
<br />Pamela Lancaster, Margaret Landis, Huey Long, Gary Quandt
<br />and Tammie Stelk. None were absent.
<br />
<br />PRESENT were Deputy Attorney Jerom Janulewicz, Carol Bryant, Grand Island
<br />Independent, and Tracy Overstreet, KRGI Radio.
<br />
<br />MINUTES OF MARCH 18th MEETING - Motion by Quandt, seconded by Stelk to
<br />accept minutes as received. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long,
<br />Quandt and Stelk voted yes. None voted no. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />COUNTY ATTORNEY: Deputy Attorney Janulewicz reported Grand Island Area
<br />Habitat for Humanity Inc has offered to purchase Lots 5, 6 & 7 Block 14
<br />Meth's subdivision for $3000.00. Central Nebraska Community Services
<br />has sent letter stating they are unable to take advantage of offer at this
<br />time to purchase these lots.
<br />Motion by Abernethy, seconded by Quandt to have attorney negotiate
<br />with Habitat for Humanity Inc for purchase of lots and return with the
<br />necessary paperwork for the County Board Approval. Abernethy, Hartman,
<br />Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion
<br />carried.
<br />
<br />Attorney Janulewicz reported on letter received from Central Nebraska
<br />Community Services Inc requesting the Board approval to convert the
<br />$9000.00 in Keno funds awarded to them to be used on an 8-plex in
<br />AIda Nebraska instead of a project in Grand Island.
<br />Motion by Stelk, seconded by Landis to authorize Central Nebraska
<br />Community Services to use keno funds for the AIda Project. Abernethy,
<br />Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted
<br />no. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT - Attorney Janulewicz presented the Conditional
<br />Use permit for Charles Encinger, Electronics Service as approved at the
<br />public hearing held March 18, 1997.
<br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Aberenthy to approve the Conditional
<br />Use Permit for Electronic Service. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis,
<br />Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.

<br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, Glenwood Hargens and Jane Hargens, husband and wife,
<br />
<br />as owner, and Charles Encinger, as lessee, have made written
<br />
<br />application for a Conditional Use Permit for the erection,
<br />
<br />maintenance, and use of a 180' radio communications tower and a 10'
<br />
<br />X 12' equipment building, all upon the following described
<br />
<br />property:
<br />
<br />Cameron Township, in the Northeast Quarter (NE1/4) of
<br />Section Twenty (2), Township Eleven (11) North, Range
<br />Twelve (12) West of the 6th P.M., Hall County, Nebraska;
<br />and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was held the 18th day of March,
<br />
<br />1997, after due and proper notice of same being afforded the
<br />
<br />public; and
