Motion carried. <br /> <br />Discussion on Rural Fire meeting - Ha.rtman might attend. <br />Head Start meeting Friday ~arch 14th at 11:45 a.m. - Quandt to attend <br /> <br />COUNTY BOARD MEMBER REPORTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Quandt - :r-10ne <br /> <br />Hartman - Will attend Legislative hearing in Lincoln tomorrow with Sherman <br />County supervisors in regard to bill on health insurance <br /> <br />Stelk Attended Computer Committee meeting in regard to county computeriza- <br />tion; Attended Conditional Use Committee meeting in regard to tower; <br />Have been attending Health Department meetings on hiring new director <br />will have Health Board Meeting tonight. <br /> <br />Supervisor Landis asked Dan Hostler, Public Works Director to report on the <br />survey for the communication tower site. <br /> <br />Landis Attended Safety Committee meeting, Conditional Use Committee meet- <br />ing on tower, Attended Weed Board meeting last night and gave <br />report on Superintendent Galindo test results which were very high, <br />Also asked if County will continue to have roadsides sprayed on <br />an annual basis. (Hartman and Hostler both replied yes) <br />Weed Department is in need of new spray truck, two trucks they <br />have are 17 years old, estimated cost new truck complete is <br />$57,000.00 <br />Discussion followed. Motion by Hartman, seconded by Landis, the County Board <br />agrees with the Weed Board to purchase new spray truck for $50,000 to $60,000. <br />from the Weed Department budget and County will continue funding for roadside <br />weed spraying annually. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Quandt and <br />Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Long was absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Lancaster - Attended Computer Committee meeting, Safety Committee meeting, <br />Public Defender Organization meeting with Long and Janul~wicz, <br />and attended the Heartland Vision meeting. <br /> <br />Abernethy Attended the Department of Roads meeting on West 2nd street <br />widening held at the Library, Attended Triad Meeting, Also <br />asked about letter to Senator Chris Peterson in regard to <br />legislative bill to change Regions for Mental & Substance abuse. <br />(Board members did not wish letter to be from County Board) <br />
