<br />9?~-tl93 <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISOR MEETING, MARCH 11, 1997 <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of supervisors met at 9:00 a.m. from adjourned session <br />and by~ublished call, in County Board meeting room, 121 S. Pine, Grand Island. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - The meeting was called to order by Vice Chair Irene Abernethy. <br /> <br />INVOCATION - Invocation was given by Rev Scott Jones, Third City Christian <br />Church, Grand Island <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - Pledge of Allegiance was given in unison. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL - Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Pamela Lancasterr <br />Margaret Landis, Gary Quandt and Ta~mie Stelk. Absent were <br />Richard Hartman and Huey Long. Hartman arrived at meeting at <br />9:11 a.m. . <br /> <br />PRESENT - Carol Bryant, Grand Island Independent and Tracy Overstreet, KRGI <br />Radio. <br /> <br />MINUTES OF MARCH 4th MEETING Motion by Quandt, seconded by Stelk to <br />accept minutes of March 4th meeting as received. Abernethy, Lancaster, <br />Landis, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Hartman and Long were <br />absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COUNTY ATTORNEY: No representative from County Attorney's office was present. <br /> <br /> <br />CLAIM HELD FROM FEBRUARY CLAIM AUDIT Received letter of explaination <br />from Distric~ Judge Luther in regard to the Sam's Club membership. <br />Motion by Stelk, seconded by Quandt to approve payment of claim to Sam's <br />Club $10.00 for membership. Abernethy, Lancaster, Landis, Quandt and Stelk <br />voted yes, none voted no, Hartman and Long were absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Supervisor Hartman arrived at the meeting at 9:11 a.m. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION: Motion by Quandt, seconded by Lancaster to hold Executive <br />Session in regard to personnel evaluations. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, <br />Landis, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Long was absent. Motion <br />carried. <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION 9:12 a.m. to discuss evaluations. <br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Lancaster to return to regular session. Aber- <br />nethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no, <br />Long was absent. Motion carried. <br />RETURNED TO REGULAR SESSION AT 9:29 A.M. <br /> <br />Motion by Stelk, seconded by Lancaster to authorize Rick Stepanek, Building & <br />Grounds Superintendent to Step 7 on pay scale. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, <br />Landis, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Long was absent. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Lancaster to authorize Ray Galindo, Weed <br />Superintendent to Step 4 on pay scale after evaluations. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Lancaster, Landis, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Long was absent. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />TWO RESOLUTIONS for right of way for l-R Road. <br />RESOLUTION #97-0019 Motion by Ste1k, seconded by Landis to adopt Resolu- <br />tion #97-0019 Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Ste1k and Quandt voted_ <br />yes, none voted no. Long was absent. Motion carried. <br />RESOLUTIOYy? _ &0 /9 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County ofHaU. State of Nebraska, is desirous of obtaining additional property for <br /> <br />highway improvement purposes~ and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County of Hall. State of Nebraska, bas successfully negotiated with <br /> <br />Kathleen G. & Dennis B. Baasch for the sale of certain real estate to be described in the <br /> <br />following: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County of Hall, State of Nebraska, is empowered by the Constitution and laws <br /> <br />of the State of Nebraska to purchase real estate for highway improvement purposes and accept deeds <br /> <br />conveying that real estate. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, <br /> <br />Hall County, State of Nebraska, to accept on behalf of Hall County, grantee, a warranty deed from <br />
