<br />y~;: - tJf' / -:J <br /> <br />AGRICULTURAL INSTITUTE OF NEBRASKA, INC LETTER: Discussed the letter <br />received in regard to the 1995 unpaid taxes on building at Husker Harvest <br />Days site on delinquent tax rolls. <br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Quandt to refer letter to County Attorney's <br />office for recommendation. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, <br />Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />NOTICE OF VIEWING BOARD MEETINGS ON TV: Supervisor ~ancaster asked about <br />notices of some kind in regard to the TV availability for,viewing the County <br />Board Meetings to inform the taxpayers of this service. Suggested adding to <br />notice of meetings, minutes of agenda that County Board meetings are on <br />GITV Wednesday 7:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. <br />Motion by Lancaster, seconded by Hartman to add to notices that Board <br />meetings are on Channels 6 and 56. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, <br />Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION ON LB255 and LB257 - Supervisor Abernethy gave report on the <br />two legislative bills in regard to Public Service Commission. NACO has not <br />taken any action on these bills and suggested County Board not take any <br />action on the bills. Board Members agreed not to take any action. <br /> <br />OFFICE REPORTS: Motion by Stelk, seconded by Quandt to accept and place <br />on file the office report from County Court. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, <br />Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />County Court, fines, fees & copies for February 1997 $40,780.45 <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS: Motion by Quandt, seconded by Abernethy th accept and place <br />on file the communications received. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, <br />Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br />Supervisor Stelk requested the Habitat to Humanity letter of request <br />be placed on next week's agenda. Chairman Long stated he had visited with <br />Attorney Janulewicz and will make report at later time. CNCS are also <br />interested in the lots in question. <br /> <br /> <br />COUNTY BOARD SECRETARY REPORT: Lisa Hagen had provided written progress <br />report. Will be a Safety Committee meeting, Wednesday March 5th at 9:00 <br />a.m. ana Central Nebraska Legislative Reception on Wednesday, March 12, <br />1997 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. in Lincoln, Nebraska. <br />Chairman Long will be absent Tuesday, March 11th meeting <br />Vice Chair Abernethy will be absent, Tuesday, March 25th meeting. <br />Supervisor Stelk requested for next week's agenda an Executive Session in <br />regard to personnel evaluations. <br /> <br />COUNTY BOARD MEMBER REPORTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br /> <br />Quandt Attended Midland Area Agency on Aging meeting, He missed the <br />Library Board meeting. <br /> <br />Abernethy -Attended the Transition Team with the State Partnership Act. <br />Attended University of Nebraska meeting in regard to higher <br />education and funding and attended the Orientation at Crisis <br />Center. <br /> <br />Hartman Chairman Public Works Committee presented the following written <br />Committee recommendation: <br /> <br />The Public Works Committee recommends that the Hall County Board of Supervisors <br /> <br />set a Public Hearing date for the proposed One and Six Year Road Program for <br /> <br />March 18, 1997, at 9:30 a.m. <br /> <br />Q4~~.IL~ <br /> <br />Daniel 1.
