<br />PRESENTATION OF CERTIFICATE TO DR. ROBERT LESLIE: Chair Stelk presented
<br />certificate of Appreciation to Dr Leslie for his time served as Hall County
<br />Board of Supervisor. Holding a reception from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in
<br />his honor.

<br />RETURNED TO BOARD OF SUPERVISOR MEETING at 1:37 p.m. Present were Abernethy,
<br />Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Long, Quandt and Stelk. None were absent.
<br />Also present were Pamela Lancaster, Board member elect and Carol Bryant,
<br />Grand Island Independent.
<br />
<br />DEWATERING WELLS FOR SEWER PROJECT Hwy 281 and Wood River road for Bossel-
<br />man project by Diamond Engineering. Gene Brady, Brady Associates spoke in
<br />regard to the request and explained the location of the site.
<br />Supervisor Hartman was absent from the room.
<br />Fred Goering, Superintendent for Diamond Engineering answered questions and
<br />stated would probably take 6 weeks to 2 months depending on weather. Requested
<br />permission to dewater to install the pipe on the shoulder of county roads.
<br />Hartman returned to meeting during this discussion.
<br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Long to allow the request to do the dewatering
<br />with approval of County Attorney in regard to any county liability. Aber-
<br />nethy, Landis, Leslie, Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, Hartman voted no.
<br />Motion carried.

<br />Tracy Overstreet, KRGI radio arrived at meeting during discussion.

<br />DISCUSSION ON CLAIM FROM Oasis counseling. Motion by Quandt, seconded by
<br />Long to refer claim to County Attorney's office for opinion. Following more
<br />discussion Hartman reminded members there was motion on floor from meeting
<br />before recessed for lunch that was not acted on.
<br />Quandt withdrew motion and Long withdrew second.
<br />Chair called for vote on previous motion to pay the claim. Abernethy, Hart-
<br />man, Landis and Leslie voted yes, Long, Quandt and Stelk voted no. Motion
<br />carried.

<br />NIRMA INSURANCE COVERAGE REVIEW: supervisor Leslie spoke in regard to
<br />the AD&D insurance coverage for county employees. County Clerk read letter
<br />from Jack Mills, NACO Director with information all counties had recommitted
<br />to NIRMA and NIRMA II for 1997. Leslie requested Board members request a
<br />copy of letter in regard to the $100,000.00 AD&D Insurance coverage for
<br />employees.

<br />APPOINTMENT FOR REUSE COMMITTEE MEMBERS: Landis, Chair of the Reuse Committee
<br />reported on letter sent to all voting members and requested the appointment
<br />be placed on next week's County Board Agenda, as hoped to have more informa-
<br />tion by then. Board Members agreed.
<br />
<br />DISCUSSION ON OASIS COUNSELING CLAIM. After Attorney Janulewicz came to
<br />meeting and was questioned on the claim, he asked it be referred to their
<br />office for review. Supervisor Abernethy requested the motion be reconsid-
<br />ered. Motion by Abernethy, seconded by Landis to reconsider motion in
<br />regard to payment of the claim. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Long,
<br />Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.
<br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Long to refer the claim to the County
<br />Attorney's office for recommendation. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie,
<br />Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.

<br />COUNTY TREASURER'S MISCELLANEOUS RECEIPTS: Motion by Quandt, seconded by
<br />Abernethy to accept and place on file the County Treasurer's miscellaneous
<br />receipts. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Long, Quandt and Stelk voted
<br />yes, none voted no. Motion carried.
