Hartman, Lancaster, <br />Landis, Long, and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no with <br />Quandt absent for the vote. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Discussion on the industrial zoning in an area by Highway 69 was <br />discussed. Landis stated that there are 70 or 80 acres off White <br />Cloud Road that are zoned industrial and the land owners cannot <br />make any improvements on the land. She requested that this be <br />addressed at the next board meeting. Landis stated that a <br />committee meeting concerning the 5-acre tracts may be held and <br />that Regional Planning Director Dave Barber is working to set up <br />the meeting. <br /> <br />COUNTY BOARD SECRETARY REPORT: Carol Spiehs included her progress <br />report in the packets and requested authorization to purchase a <br />keyboard tray for her office. <br /> <br />COUNTY BOARD MEMBER'S REPORTS: Stelk - She stated she attended a <br />library board meeting and the committee needs to work on the <br />bookmobile contract. She attended county government day and <br />helped with early ballot pickup on November 3. She missed the <br />corrections committee meeting because she has a new address and <br />did not receive the information. She will attend a health board <br />meeting and there will be two corrections negotiations meetings. <br /> <br />Landis - She worked election night and attended the regional <br />planning meeting on Wednesday. She attended the ag-land meeting <br />in Loup City and they are working on proposals. She will have a <br />reuse meeting on Thursday and a conditional use committee meeting <br />on the 5-acre tracts. <br /> <br />Lancaster - She attended county government day and worked <br />election night and stated the early ballot pickup went well. She <br />attended the Senior Citizens meeting and the work on the 5013C is <br />going well. She will also attend the corrections negotiations <br />meetings. <br /> <br />Quandt - He attended the safety meeting, the Mid-Land Area Agency <br />on Aging meeting and an ADA meeting. <br /> <br />Long - He attended the Mid-Land Area Agency on Aging meeting and <br />the coffee for Irene Abernethy. He stated that taxes on ag-land <br />should be on production instead of value. <br /> <br />Hartman - He attended Irene's coffee, county government day, the <br />weed control board meeting and reported that Rick Stepanek from <br />building and grounds requested to use the weed department's 4- <br />wheel ATV for snow removal this winter to see how it works. He <br />stated the weed department is doing well. <br />
