BID OPENING FOR SALT/SANDER: Quandt made a motion and Stelk seconded to open the bids for the salt/sander. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. The following bids were read: Bidder Make Total Bid Price Delivery Midwest Service & Sales Co. Swanson $5,550.00 2-3 weeks Monroe Truck Equip Monroe $6,360.00 30-45 days Island Supply Co Bladhill $6,082.00 2 weeks Landis made a motion and Quandt seconded to refer the bids to Public Works Director Dan Hostler. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. 5-minute break Public Work Director Dan Hostler stated that the low bidder on the salt/sander was Midwest Service and Sales Company with a total bid of $5,550.00. Long made a motion and Landis seconded to award the bid to Midwest Service and Sales Company. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: Darlene Niemoth, 5575 Sky Park Road requested to speak to the board concerning campaign signs that were put in the right-of-ways. Mr. Long apologized that the signs were placed there and stated that they would be removed. COUNTY ATTORNEY EXECUTIVE SESSIONS: Abernethy made a motion and Stelk seconded to go into executive session regarding discussion of settlement negotiations regarding Sager vs. Hall County and discussion of negotiation strategy regarding settlement agreement and collective bargaining agreement with Hall County Public Defenders Organization. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried.
