<br />Cf~F-C)C65lo <br /> <br />COUNTY BOARD SECRETARY REPORT: Carol Spiehs asked if some of the <br />old insurance policies could be destroyed. Lancaster made a <br />motion and Landis seconded to destroy the old policies. <br />Lancaster amended her motion and Landis seconded to contact the <br />NIRMA insurance office to clarify which policies could be <br />destroyed. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt <br />and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />UPDATE FROM SHERIFF PERKINS: Sheriff Perkins stated that his <br />department is below budget and they have started meetings to <br />insure an easy transition in January. He has expressed concern <br />on the increased number of expired car insurance and no valid <br />drivers licenses for drivers especially the accident that <br />involved the sheriff's car. <br /> <br /> <br />BOARD MEMBER'S REPORTS: Quandt - no report <br /> <br />Long - He attended CNCS in Loup City, the county employee <br />recognition picnic and a railroad meeting at Stuhr Museum. <br /> <br />stelk - She attended two computer meetings two union meetings and <br />will have a health board meeting tonight. <br /> <br />Landis - She attended the ADA meeting, two weed board meetings, <br />two computer meetings and will be doing interviews for the <br />corrections department. <br /> <br />Hartman - He attended many of the same meetings. <br /> <br />Lancaster - She attended the industrial development meeting and <br />stated that Hall County has an important role in development with <br />the development of paved roads. She attended the public <br />defenders negotiations meeting and the Health and Human Services <br />committee that is working on integrated services for clients. She <br />also attended the computer committee meetings and she also <br />attended the amusement license committee and Jerry Janulewicz is <br />working on rules and regulations. <br /> <br />Hartman reported that board assistant Lisa Hagen will not be <br />coming back and that Carol Spiehs will work part-time until the <br />first of the year. After that the board will advertise the <br />position. Quandt made a motion and Lancaster seconded to appoint <br />Carol Spiehs to work part-time as the board assistant. Hartman, <br />Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes with <br />Abernethy absent for the vote.
