<br />9<6'r'D'ol\ \ <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING OCTOBER 13, 1998 <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met from adjourned session <br />and by published call in the county board meeting room, 121 South <br />Pine, Grand Island, Nebraska October 13, 1998 at 9:00 a.m. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Richard Hartman. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Rev. Tim Snyder. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was give in unison. <br /> <br />Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Hartman, <br />Pamela Lancaster, Margaret Landis, Huey Long, Gary Quandt and <br />Tammie Stelk. Also present were Deputy County Attorney Jerry <br />Janulewicz and news media representatives from the Grand Island <br />Independent and KRGI. <br /> <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE SEPTEMBER 22 MEETING: Stelk made a motion and <br />Quandt seconded to approve the minutes of the September 22 <br />meeting and place on file. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, <br />Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />UPDATE FROM CAROL SHELDON ON COOP: Carol Sheldon briefed the <br />board on the cooperative land use committee. There are numerous <br />committees and sub-committees that are working on this project. <br />There could possibly be 150,000 acres of water and 417,000 acres <br />of land that could be removed from the tax roles. These large <br />changes on land use would certainly change the tax base for <br />counties. Mr Sheldon requested that the county board adopt a <br />motion requesting information on a monthly basis. Long made a <br />motion and Quandt seconded to request the land-use committee to <br />update the county board on a monthly basis. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none <br />voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COUNTY ATTORNEY - APPROVE RULES AND REGULATIONS OF CRANE VIEWING <br />AREA AND BOAT RAMP: Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz <br />prepared and read the rules and regulations covering the Hall <br />County Park and the Crane Viewing Area. Abernethy requested that <br />on section 1.4 the words "and beverages" be deleted. Abernethy <br />made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve Resolution #98-0060 <br />established rules and regulations governing the use and <br />administration of the Hall County park boat ramp and crane <br />viewing area. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, <br />Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. <br />Motion carried. <br />
