Abernethy, <br />Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none <br />voted no. Hartman was absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />NEW OR UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Discussion was held on the weed <br />board superintendent applications and interviews. The interviews <br />will be held in the administration building on September 10. <br />Lancaster made a motion and Abernethy seconded to include the <br />weed board at the interviews and submit their top 3 names. <br />Abernethy, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted <br />yes and none voted no. Hartman was absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />BOARD MEMBER REPORTS: Lancaster - She attended the negotiations <br />meetings with the correction department union and a meeting with <br />the Mayor on the hike and bike trail at the Cornhusker Army <br />Ammunition Plant. This will be a multi-use trail. The public <br />work committee met with Mr. Bosselman. <br /> <br />Long - He attended the Mid-land Area Agency on Aging at Hastings <br />and attended a dinner meeting at Hastings College. He played in <br />an AlA golf tournament and won. He also met with Jean Frank from <br />Eakes on the committee room improvements. <br /> <br />Landis - She attended the union negotiations with the corrections <br />department and reported the land at CAAP will be sold next fall <br />and they are in the process of doing an environmental base line <br />study. The board will have the work-study on Thursday for the <br />interviews. <br />Abernethy - She attended the dinner meeting at Central Community <br />College at Hastings. The hazardous waste collection was <br />successful and there was a large turn-out. She reported that <br />Head Start is setting up classrooms in various schools. She also <br />talked with Brad Fegley regarding the last budget work-study <br />session. She attended the Earl Hanel funeral. County government <br />day will be November 3 and she will have a juvenile needs meeting <br />tomorrow. <br />
