<br />~F~~9 <br /> <br />A walk-through of the SoutheTIlPublic Power Building and the old <br />city hall building will be held on August 25 at 2:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Public WorksDirector Dan Hostler returned with the low bidder on <br />the culvert bids. Ace Irrigation had the low bids on projects <br />C40(103)-3, C40(239)-1, C40(174)2 and C40(295) and on culvert bid <br />#1 and Wilson Concrete Company had the low bid on culvert bid #2. <br />Stelk made a motion and Long seconded to award the low bids to <br />Ace Irrigation and Wilson Concrete Company. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none <br />voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />ACCEPT AND PLACE ON FILE TAX SALE CERTIFICATES #98-001 TO 98-058: <br />Abernethy made a motion and Quandt seconded to accept and place <br />on file the tax sale certificates. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none <br />voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />APPROVE THE FINAL PLAT FOR R&R AND ALLELUIA SUBDIVISIONS: <br />Lancaster made a motion and Long seconded to authorize the Chair <br />to sign the final plats. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, <br />Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />CVB LETTER TO THE STATE FROM THE COUNTY: Lancaster stated that <br />Renee Siefert, the Convention and Visitor Bureau's director, <br />would like to have information from the Nebraska Department of <br />Revenue on the lodging taxes that are collected but the <br />information could not be released to her. Hall County would need <br />to make the request. Long made a motion and Lancaster seconded <br />to send the letter to the Nebraska Department of Revenue for the <br />information. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long and <br />Quandt all voted yes and Stelk abstained. Motion carried. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENT TO THE VETERANS SERVICE COMMITTEE: The American <br />Legion Post #314 in Wood River sent a letter of nomination for <br />Gus Camp as their representative. Veterans Service Officer Don <br />Shuda recommended that Mr. Camp be reappointed. Long made a <br />motion and Stelk seconded to reappoint Gus Camp as the <br />representative. The board questioned if the recommendation <br />should include three names. Long withdrew his motion and Stelk <br />withdrew her second. Mr. Shuda was called. <br /> <br />Stelk made a motion by consent agenda to accept and place on file <br />the office reports, Hall County Treasurer's Miscellaneous <br />Receipts and communications. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, <br />Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. <br />Motion carried. <br />
