~F~~9 A walk-through of the SoutheTIlPublic Power Building and the old city hall building will be held on August 25 at 2:00 p.m. Public WorksDirector Dan Hostler returned with the low bidder on the culvert bids. Ace Irrigation had the low bids on projects C40(103)-3, C40(239)-1, C40(174)2 and C40(295) and on culvert bid #1 and Wilson Concrete Company had the low bid on culvert bid #2. Stelk made a motion and Long seconded to award the low bids to Ace Irrigation and Wilson Concrete Company. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. ACCEPT AND PLACE ON FILE TAX SALE CERTIFICATES #98-001 TO 98-058: Abernethy made a motion and Quandt seconded to accept and place on file the tax sale certificates. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. APPROVE THE FINAL PLAT FOR R&R AND ALLELUIA SUBDIVISIONS: Lancaster made a motion and Long seconded to authorize the Chair to sign the final plats. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. CVB LETTER TO THE STATE FROM THE COUNTY: Lancaster stated that Renee Siefert, the Convention and Visitor Bureau's director, would like to have information from the Nebraska Department of Revenue on the lodging taxes that are collected but the information could not be released to her. Hall County would need to make the request. Long made a motion and Lancaster seconded to send the letter to the Nebraska Department of Revenue for the information. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long and Quandt all voted yes and Stelk abstained. Motion carried. APPOINTMENT TO THE VETERANS SERVICE COMMITTEE: The American Legion Post #314 in Wood River sent a letter of nomination for Gus Camp as their representative. Veterans Service Officer Don Shuda recommended that Mr. Camp be reappointed. Long made a motion and Stelk seconded to reappoint Gus Camp as the representative. The board questioned if the recommendation should include three names. Long withdrew his motion and Stelk withdrew her second. Mr. Shuda was called. Stelk made a motion by consent agenda to accept and place on file the office reports, Hall County Treasurer's Miscellaneous Receipts and communications. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried.
