<br />tJ~FCJCJq? <br /> <br />ACCEPT GRIEVANCE: Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz <br />requested an executive session concerning this. Stelk made a <br />motion and Lancaster seconded to go into elective session. <br />Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all <br />voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />1:55 p.m. Executive session <br /> <br />2:04 p.m. Quandt made a motion and Long seconded to go out of <br />executive session. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, <br />Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Stelk made a motion and Quandt seconded to reject the grievance <br />that was received and requested Jerry Janulewicz to send a letter <br />to the party. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, <br />Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz returned to the board <br />with information on the election statutes. The phase 2 of the <br />application must be submitted by April 6 and the committee will <br />decide the top site and nego~iate a contract. The contract would <br />be signed in Mayor June. A special election could not be held <br />until July 14. Janulewicz was instructed to send a letter to the <br />Nebraska Department of Corrections, stating the County will not <br />proceed with phase 2 until it is put to a vote of the people. <br />Quandt made a motion and Stelk seconded to have the deputy county <br />attorney draft a letter stating that the County won't proceed <br />without putting it to a vote of the people. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none <br />voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />DTE REQUEST FOR CAAP LAND: DTE is requesting to purchase 840 <br />acres. The two mile strip will preserve rail lines for the <br />future expansion. Hartman expressed concern on the large number <br />of acres they want to purchase. Smaller parcels would enable the <br />currant users to purchase some land. The size of the parcels <br />will be determine~ then auctioned off. <br /> <br />Stelk made a motion by consent agenda and Quandt seconded to <br />approve the office reports of the Register of Deeds and the Hall <br />County Sheriff, the Hall County Treasurer's Miscellaneous <br />Receipts and communications. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, <br />Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />County Assessor Jan Pelland said the <br />will be going up 10% based on sales. <br />order to stay in the range.
