<br />COUNTY ATTORNEY - RESOLUTION INCREASING APPROPRIATIONS FOR
<br />SHERIFF: A grant from the Crime Commission was received by the
<br />Sheriff's Department. This amount is in addition to the regular
<br />county budget of the sheriff. Deputy County Attorney Jerry
<br />Janulewicz contacted the state auditors office and the Crime
<br />Commission for the proper procedure to follow to use these funds.
<br />Landis made a motion and Stelk seconded to approve Resolution
<br />#98-0015 increasing appropriations for the Hall County Sheriff.
<br />ABERNETHY, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all
<br />voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried.

<br />A RESOLUTION TO INCREASE APPROPRIATIONS FOR
<br />THE HALL COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the CotUlty of Hall and the Hall County Sheriff were awarded a Federal Law Enforcement Block
<br />Grant from the Nebraska Crime Commission in the amount of $1,296.26 for the purpose of purchasing radar
<br />equipment. A copy of the grant agreement is attached hereto and marked attachment "A"; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, federal law and regulations require that said grant funds must be an addition to the budget for the
<br />Hall County Sheriff and cannot be used to reduce the level of local funding for said office/thus requiring that the current
<br />appropriations for the sheriff be increased in the amount of said grant.

<br />WHEREAS whereas due to deregulation of the telephone industry and local telephone
<br />service, additionall~cal telephone service providers have or will provide local telephone service
<br />within Hall County; and
