~19990539 AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH CITY AND COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY FOR A JOINT FACILITIES STRA TEGIC PLAN: Deputy County Attorney state the City and the CRA have approved this and he has a corrected copy with two small changes. Logan made a motion and Landis seconded to approve the interlocal agreement. This does not include the correctional facility study. Lonnie Logan and Scott Arnold will serve and Margaret Landis will be the alternate. Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, Logan and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. DISCUSS AND APPROVE RESOLUTION SETTING SALARY AND BENEFITS FOR PUBLIC DEFENDER FOR 4-YEAR TERM BEGINNING January 2001: Landis suggested that this be referred to a committee. Hartman made a motion and Stelk seconded to approve a 2% increase each year for the public defender and approve Resolution #99-0095. Discussion was held on the health insurance coverage and what would happen if it was necessary to make changes on this. The health insurance coverage will be left the same. Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, Logan and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. RESOLUTION #99- onCt .5 A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING SALARY FOR PUBLIC DEFENDER FOR FOUR YEAR TERM BEGINNING JANUARY 2001 WHEREAS, the Hall County Board of Supervisors is required by law to set and establish salaries for elected county officials for the four-year term of office commencing on January 4, 2001. NOW BE IT RESOLVED, that the annual salary for the office of Hall County Public Defender for the four-year term commencing January 4,2001, be set at follows: January 4,2001 through January 4, 2002 January 4, 2002 through January 4, 2003 January 4, 2003 through January 4, 2004 January 4, 2004 through the end ofterm $ 46.920.00 $47,858.40 $ 48,815.57 $49,791.88 The aforesaid amounts shall be paid on a monthly basis or on some other periodic basis as established by the Board of Supervisors.
