'--19990487 PROCLAMATIONS: County Clerk Marla Conley read the Proclamation for National Home Care Month and National Hospice Month. Stelk made a motion and Hartman seconded to approve the Proclamations and place on file. Arnold Hartman Jeffries Lancaster, Landis, Logan and Stelk all voted yes and none voted'no. Moti~n carried Office of the County Board of Supervisors Hall County Proclamation Whereas, home care is the most preferred method of health care delivery among people who are disabled, elderly and chronically ill yet eager to live independently in their own homes; and Whereas, home care in the United States is a growing alternative to hospitalization for acute and chronic illnesses, service more than 8 million Americans each year; and Whereas, thousands of home care professionals and volunteers in over 20,000 home care agencies across the country daily blend compassionate care and technological advances to ensure the futures and brighten the lives of their patients; and Whereas, these dedicated home care professionals and volunteers form a support network that will continue to playa vital role in health care delivery for the nation's aging population into the next century; and Whereas, Tabitha Health Care Services, St Francis Home Health/Hospice, Home Care & Companions, and Option Care, the National association for Home Care and home care agencies across the United States have declared the month of November 1999 as National Home Care Month and are calling on all Americans to observe this occasion with appropriate ceremonies and activities; Now, therefore, be it resolved that we, the Hall County Board of Supervisors do hereby proclaim November 1999 as NATIONAL HOME CARE MONTH in the city/county of Hall and encourage the support and participation of all citizens in learning more about the home care concept of care for patients with terminal illnesses and their families. 7JJ an In witness whereof I have hereunto set s this e I to be affixed,
