<br />F 19990393 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #99- no '71 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING HANDICAPPED PARKING <br />STALLS FOR COUNTY OWNED PARKING AREAS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County of Hall is the owner the parking areas located at the following <br />locations: <br /> <br />1. Hall County Administration Building, 121 South Pine Street, Grand Island; <br />2. Hall County Health Department, 119 East First Street, Grand Island; <br />3. Hall County Office Building, 117 East First Street, Grand Island; <br />4. Hall County Court House, First and Locust Streets, Grand Island; <br />5. Pine Street Parking Lot, 100 Block South Pine Street, Grand Island; <br />6. Hall County Park, 3138 West Schimmer Drive, Grand Island; <br />7. Hall County Weed Control, 2807 West Second Street, Grand Island; and <br />8. Hall County Public Works, 2900 West Second Street, Grand Island; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Hall County Board of Supervisors desires to designate in the aforesaid <br />parking areas parking stalls and spaces restricted to the exclusive use of handicapped or disabled <br />persons whose motor vehicles display the distinguishing license plates issued to such individuals <br />pursuant to Nebraska Revised Statute section 60-311.14, such other handicapped or disabled <br />persons or temporarily handicapped or disabled persons, as certified by the city or village, whose <br />motor vehicles display the permit specified in Nebraska Revised Statute section 18-1739, and <br />such other motor vehicles, as certified by the city or village, which display such permit. <br /> <br />NOW BE IT RESOL YED as follows: <br /> <br />1. ADA Parking Plans 99-1,99-2; 99-3; 99-4; 99-5; 99-6; 99-7; and 99-8, which are attached <br />hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, are hereby approved. The parking stalls and <br />spaces depicted therein are hereby restricted to the exclusive use of handicapped or disabled <br />persons whose motor vehicles display the distinguishing license plates issued to such <br />individuals pursuant to Nebraska Revised Statute section 60-311.14, such other handicapped <br />or disabled persons or temporarily handicapped or disabled persons, as certified by the city or <br />village, whose motor vehicles display the permit specified in Nebraska Revised Statute section <br />18-1739, and such other motor vehicles, as certified by a city or village, which display such <br />permit. <br />2. The Hall County Building and Grounds Department shall post aboveground and immediately <br />adjacent to and.visible from each stall or space a sign which is in conformance with the <br />Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices adopted pursuant to Nebraska Revised Statutes <br />section 60-6,118 notifying of said designation. Said postings shall clearly and conspicuously <br />state the areas so designated as a tow-in zone and that vehicles parked in violation shall be <br />subject to removal as provided by Nebraska Revised Statutes sections 18-1736 through 1742. <br />3. Any peace officer having lawful jurisdiction at the location is hereby authorized to issue a <br />handicapped parking citation for infractions occurring on the above-described parking areas. <br />
