Stelk stated that there <br />should be three board members on the team. Jeffries appointed Dick Hartman, Lonnie Logan and <br />Bud Jeffries to the bargaining team. <br />RED CROSS PRESENTATION: The Hall County Chapter of the Red Cross presented two life <br />saving awards to Howard Jensen and Lynn Garident for performing two-man CPR on a <br />gentleman at the court house. Their efforts started his heart and saved his life. <br /> <br />UPDATE FROM LEE JOHNSON WITH MID-AJ\.1ERICA INSURANCE: Dick Hartman <br />requested clarification from Lee Johnson on the PPO changes to the health insurance plan. Some <br />of the hospital services at Bryan Memorial are not covered. Mr. Johnson stated that 90 to 95% of <br />the hospital charges for the county plan are from St. Francis and the Midwest Select PPO will <br />provide coverage for these resulting in a savings of$ll,OOO.OO to $15,000.00 per year. Mr <br />Johnson stated that he felt this was a wise decision on the county's part. The services at other <br />hospitals will still be covered at the 80/20 rate. He explained that using a double PPO does not <br />provide the best discounted rates. <br /> <br />APPROVE AJ\.1ENDJ\.1ENT FOR HEATH INSURANCE PLAN: Hartman made a motion and <br />Stelk seconded to approve amendment #11 to the Hall County health insurance plan this address <br />the new PPO provider Hines Benefits Plus and the increase in the prescription card from $7.00 to <br />$10.00. Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Logan and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no, <br />with Landis abstaining. Motion carried. <br /> <br />SP ACE NEEDS FOR CASA: The office space that is occupied by CASA and the Juvenile <br />Diversion Director will be used the child support division in the county attorney's office. Juvenile <br />Diversion will be moved to the county attorney's building and CASA Director Diane Muhlbach <br />will be provided space at the Mid-Plains building. Ms. MuWbach requested that the board look at <br />some other options to provide her space in the administration building. The location at Mid- <br />Plains would be too far from the court house to be efficient for her. The board stated this they <br />must first address the space needs of the county attorney's office. They will review the matter <br />and discuss it again in two weeks. Stelk made a motion and Hartman seconded to send a letter to <br />CASA giving 30 days notice to move her office. Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, <br />Logan and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Landis made a motion and Hartman seconded to make the office space in the administration <br />building available to the county attorney's child support division and do the necessary <br />remodeling. Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, Logan and Stelk all voted yes and <br />none voted no.
