<br />F 19990341 <br /> <br />BOARD ASSISTANT'S REPORT: Stacey reminded the board that an executive session on an <br />insurance claim will be necessary. She also reminded the board members of a Nebraska EDC <br />survey that needs to be completed. She included her ' progress report in the packets and noted <br />the meeting changes. <br /> <br />BOARD MEMBER'S REPORTS: Arnold - He attended a meeting on July 30 that the county and <br />city were invited to view a demonstration on mobile data terminals. He also attended the budget <br />meetings and reported that Mid-Plains received the grant for an emergency shelter. <br /> <br />Landis - She attended the budget work study sessions and there will be a Reuse meeting on <br />AUGUST 11. There was also a safety committee meeting and they need a new safety <br />coordinator. <br /> <br />Lancaster - She attended the budget work study sessions and the Economic Development <br />Corporation is looking for a new director. She attended a Head Start policy counsel meeting. <br />The computer committee is obtaining the required licenses and by purchasing multi able license <br />they were able to save $2,776.00. <br /> <br />Stelk - She attended the budget work study sessions, an ADA meeting, a library board meeting <br />and the Health board meeting. <br /> <br />Hartman - He attended the budget work study session and reported that at the Weed Board <br />meeting discussion was held on the amount of money that the Road Department budgets for <br />spraying roads. The cost of chemicals have increased by 20% to 25% and only two-thirds of the <br />roads are sprayed. He suggested that the amount budgeted be increased and find the extra money <br />in his budget. Jeffries is chair of the public works committee and this will be discussed. <br /> <br />Logan - He reported that Burl Hooker donated two benches to the Hall County Park and he <br />would like the chair to sign a letter of thank you for the donation. <br /> <br />Jeffiies - He attended the work study session and there will be a Reuse meeting. There will also <br />be a personnel committee meeting. <br /> <br />APPROVE THE FINAL PLAT FOR SANDY BEACH SUBDIVISION: This is for Sandy <br />Beach Second Subdivision. Stelk made a motion and Hartman seconded to approve the final plat. <br />Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, Logan and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION ON INSURANCE CLAIM: Stelk made a motion and Logan seconded <br />to go into executive session. Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, Logan and Stelk all <br />voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />11:55 a.m. executive session <br />
