<br />r1999004~ <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING FEBRUARY 9, 1999 <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met from adjourned session <br />and by published call in the county board meeting room, 121 South <br />Pine, Grand Island, Nebraska February 9, 1999 at 9:00 a.m. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Vice-Chairman Lonnie Logan. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Scott Arnold. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given in unlson. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL: Present on roll call were Scott Arnold, Richard <br />Hartman, Pamela Lancaster, Margaret Landis, Lonnie Logan and <br />Tammie Stelk. Bud Jeffries was absent. Also present were Deputy <br />County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz and news media representatives <br />from the Grand Island Independent and KRGI. <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE JANUARY 26 MEETING: Landis made a motion and STELK <br />seconded to accept and place on file the minutes of the January <br />26 meeting. Arnold, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Logan and Stelk <br />all voted yes and none voted no, with Jeffries absent. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />COUNTY ATTORNEY: EXECUTIVE SESSION DISCUSSION OF LITIGATION AND <br />NEGOTIATION STRATEGY REGARDING 1998 TAX VALUATION APPEALS: <br />Hartman made a motion and Stelk seconded to go into executive <br />session. Arnold, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Logan and Stelk all <br />voted yes and none voted no with Jeffries absent. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />9:10 a.m. executive session <br /> <br />9:30 a.m. Hartman made a motion and Lancaster seconded to go out <br />of executive session. Arnold, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Logan <br />and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no with Jeffries absent. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />9:30 A.M. PUBLIC HEARING ON THE 1 & 6 YEAR ROAD PROGRAM: <br />Hartman made a motion and Lancaster seconded to open the public <br />hearing for the 1&6 Road Program. Arnold, Hartman, Lancaster, <br />Landis, Logan and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no, with <br />Jeffries absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Daniel Hostler included copies of the 1&6 <br />Road Program in the board members packets. He stated that this <br />is the highest dollar amount for the 1&6 Road Program, with the <br />lowest amount of matching funds. This program also inclues the <br />six railraod crossing that are being changed but these costs will <br />be reimbursed to the County. The resolutions are in the back of the <br />program and one resolution wi~l need to be signed to delete a program. <br />
