HALL CDUNTY B�ARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING JUNE 19, 2012 9:05 a.m. Quandt made a motion and Ziola seconded ta go into a Board of Equalization meeting. ROLL CALL VOTE — Present on roll call vote were Scott Arnold, Pamela Lancaster, Bob McFarland, Daniel Purdy, Gary Quandt, Steve Schuppan and David Ziola. Also present were Deputy County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf, County Assessor Jan Pelland and Board Assistant 5tacey Ruzicka. NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW — Chairman Lancaster read the notice af the open m�eting law. MINUTES —Purdy made a motion and Arnold seconded to apprave the minutes of the June 5, 2012 meeting. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and non� voted no. Motion carried. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION — Chairman Lancaster called for public participation for the Board af Equalization and no one responded. COUNTY TREASURER —APPROVE EXEMPTION APPLICATION FOR CENTRAL NEBRASKA HUMANE SOCIETY FOR A 2001 DODGE VAN AND 2010 PICKUP — County Treasurer Peg Pesek pr�sented the exemption application for the following: Central Nebraska Humane Saciety, 1312 Sky Park Road, Grand Island, NE, or a 2001 Dodge Van and 2010 Chevy Pickup to be used for transparting lost, stray, and injured animals and enforcing City of Grand Island and Hall County animal regulations at local, state and federal level. She has approved this exemptian as per Nebraska State Statute 77-202 and is r�questing the County Board's approval. McFarland mad� a motion and Ziola seconded to approve the �xemption application for the Central Nebraska Humane Society. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. NEW OR UNFINISHEDBUSINESS — Chairman Lancaster called for new or unfinished business and no one responded. Recessed the Board of Equalization meeting until 10:30 a.m. for the ex�cutive session. 10:20 a.m. Reconvened the Board of Equalization m�eting for the executive session regarding litigation. McFarland made a motion and Arnold seconded to ga into executive session. This executive session is to pratect the public interest. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziala all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried.
