November l , 2012 <br /> TO: Hall County Park/Facilities Cammittee <br /> Subject: Annual R.eport of the Hall Co�.rnty Parks Departm�nt <br /> The H.all County Park Camping areas for the period of April 14, 2012 <br /> through October 14, 2012 which consisted of 189 possible nights of <br /> camping, had a total of bd4$ pcople registered for 2741 units resulting in an <br /> income of$40,210.00 ($36,�74.70 into the General Fund $2,124.80 for <br /> Sales Tax and $2,010.50 into the Lodging Fund). <br /> There was an average of �4.50 camping units (this includes recreational <br /> vehicles and tents) per night with an aver�ge of 2.21 guests staying in each <br /> unit. With only 19 camping pads the park was pretty �ull the full season �his <br /> year. <br /> With the Stat� rair, �unk Jaunt and Husker Harvest days we overfilled the <br /> camping area and had 57 RV units staying in the Tent area during the <br /> months of May through September. <br /> Compared to 2011 camping was up by 196 RV units and up 47 Tent units, <br /> an increase of $3,41�.00 from 201 I. <br /> This was the third year to reserve Picnic Shelters. Revenue from shelter is <br /> $790.00 into the General Fund from Apri12�12 through October 2012. <br /> Three groups have already rented a shelter for 2013. <br /> We were very busy this past season with numerous church, civic, and school <br /> groups, company picnics, family reunions and Weddings. We also had <br /> several marathons and charity fundraisers having their picnic for the first <br /> time at Hall County Park rather than Stolley Park. These new organizations <br /> had several compliments about the Park, the Life Trail and overall set up of <br /> the park they plan to reserve the park again next year. <br />
